Why indeed. Bars are closed but here come the cruise ships. Makes no sense.

Playing together, in a big group? ::)
The white fence is about six feet high. Then the trampolines outlines extend for another three feet over it.

Therefore I was not actually seeing anyone. Just heard a lot of children's voices. Could have been as few as three or four. At the time I did not have in mind doing a detailed report on that aspect of it. What was going through my mind regarding them was..."If they are outside, I should also!"

Why was Trump always making it a point of emphasis every day that we had to help the airlines industry, the hotel industry...……….the cruise ship industry??!!

I did some limited research and it seemed like the entire world wide cruise ship industry was smaller than all of our 200th largest companies.

And, I since learned that many of those in the cruise ship industry are registered under foreign flags to avoid paying U.S. taxes.

Therefore, his consistent, constant worry for that industry made me wonder in what way he profits from its health.

It should be far, far, far, far, far down the list of industries that are far more important and essential to our economy.

I am now going to fully open the last several days' (week's) worth of mail. After I complete doing so I will then do a day's worth of washing dishes to thoroughly cleanse my hands.

I can see how the cruise ship industry is important to the state of Florida, bringing all those tourists, but yes, not to the country.

Front page top headline in my local newspaper (from yesterday): Business is booming at liquor stores"

In the accompanying picture it looks like the cashier and customer are no farer than two feet apart...

First paragraph: "It seems many locals are throwing back a shot to forget about the worldwide coronavirus outbreak, as liquor stores across...….report experiencing a massive spike in business over the past two weeks"

I conclude that the demographics in that category in my county seem to parallel those same demographics in this forum!

IF I am correctly using the word "demographics'! Meant to imply that there is seems to be the same rate of usage in both.

And, as I keep reading the details in the article I see that some here may be interested in reading those same details: https://www.recorder.com/Liquor-stores- ... 9-33490871.

People in the grocery store had sh** ability to stay away from me. I felt like I was at the Dojo today. Teens and olds have no concept of personal space.

I'm one of those people that normally needs about six feet of space around me. I often find myself stepping back oh-so-subtlely, and more often than not the other guy stymies my move by stepping forward! Alas, at least we introverts are finally getting some respect.

Grocery store’s hard. I like space, like Maddy. But, my bodega is kind of tight. Narrow aisles.

I'm a Super Introvert witnessed by this being Day 14 of a week ago Tuesday being the only day of the last 14 that I've been in the presence (quite brief that day) of other human beings. Even for me, I'm setting all kinds of personal records with that. But I've been fine with it. I'm thinking that when I finally leave for a whole day, as I'm leaving I'll be telling myself, "I really could have used JUST one more day home alone!"

But regarding space in public? I go to a lot of live music events. I always want to get as close as possible to the front. That oftentimes results in being quite close to other people. As close as one can be without being pressed right up against someone else (although that can happen).

Does not bother me as I'm still maintaining my true "social" distancing by not interacting with those around me and, instead, giving 100% of my focus on what the musicians are doing. Particularly since I'm taking a ton of pictures of what they are doing.

China closing its borders to foreigners right now is like a guy farting in a crowded room, then leaving and barricading the door from outside.

Get this.

One of my friends just received a $1,000 ticket from the police for riding in a car with a non-family member. This they considered to be breaking the social distancing mandate.

Holy crap. This thing just keeps getting more real by the day.

Why did the police pull them over?

Police roadblock. Just like the kind you see on a Saturday night checking for drunk drivers. Except this was during the middle of the day.

I didn't realize that Vancouver had become the Fourth Reich. Between your cell phone ticket and the $1000 above, it sounds like the Gestapo has taken over the metro police. Wtf?
I KNOW. Holy s#$t.

I'm just glad it wasn't me. A $1,000 ticket on top of what I'm already going through, and I don't know what I'd do.

Slightly off topic, but if they are doing that what does it tell you? Maybe that US taxes are too high compared to the other options?
Or, maybe they are all owned by the ultimate un-patriots?

I'm listening to the Timcast, and someone said they got fined too. A second violation is $7,500.

Why don't they go to the country where they are registered to get bailed out then?

Personally don't like the race to the bottom.
