Hello From Snowy Vancouver!
A picture from our neighbourhood! I'm nice and cozy inside with my coding and coffee.

Looks like a fair amount of snow. Appears to be good insulation on those houses, too.
You there, Ephialtes. May you live forever.

Yes, I learned that myself when I ended up finally getting a new room in December 2005 AFTER the first snowfall.Kriegsspiel wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 5:30 pm Looks like a fair amount of snow. Appears to be good insulation on those houses, too.
I was driving around the neighborhood and noticing that some houses like mine had all the snow still on the roofs while others had no snow. I wondered if that was because those houses were using their heat to melt that snow.
I asked my roofer if that was a correct interpretation and he confirmed.
No snow here in western Massachusetts! I was just looking out my living room window this morning and being amazed that all the snow had fully melted away.

Re: Hello From Snowy Vancouver!
I'm actually really loving the "terrible" weather we're having.
I've gotten SO much done at home the past couple days. I've made a ton of progress in my math homework, and a ton of coding stuff. Not so bad!

I'm with Smith - I'll take cold snowy weather over heat and humidity any day!
50 and sunny/blue sky in New York right now. Gorgeous mild winter day. We're supposed to get snow over the weekend though so here's hoping! On the other hand, the National Weather Service is claiming that it's "light rain" at the moment, so with that level of competence who the heck knows.

I’ll take hot weather over snow. You don’t have to shovel heat.WiseOne wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:31 am I'm with Smith - I'll take cold snowy weather over heat and humidity any day!

Our neighbours' tree decided to park itself in our backyard. The poor fence!
I'm starting understand now why Saruman had such a tiff with all of those trees in Two Towers.
