Since 2018 I have been going to this festival - RPM (Rock / Punk / Metal -- mostly the latter) Fest which is held right on my street, 2 miles / 3 minutes from my house. It is now every Labor Day weekend - Friday to Sunday, so upcoming this week.
I describe many of the people who go there as being in "costume".

Agree. She has a beautiful nose and eyes. Is that bearded guy like a young Vinny?

I find most of those costumes funny, especially the ones that go way beyond what you can normally day-wear i.e. Kiss-style. Personally, while I am great trash/death metal fan, do own just a single Sepultura hoodie. Like the one on below, art of the "Beneath the remains" is astonishing, isn't it ??

Only in the sense that we both have long beards. However, I am a confirmed Ectomorph while he looks like an Endomorph so completely different body types. Me small size; him large size.

I would read it. But only a library copy or one I could buy cheap ($7 and under (delivered)).

Fair enough, but I would say he’s a mesomorph. Dom DeLuise was an endomorph.

The front page of wikipedia mentions the Baker Street Robbery of 1971. Pretty interesting.

Thanks for this!
Hopefully, get to read the whole extensive Wikipedia on this.
Just quickly scanned it.
Cannot remember if I saw the movie mentioned regarding this.
Would definitely read the book (if there is one).

I'll read. Can at least also be listening to music or having a sports game on at the same time. Videos are too all consuming of too many of my senses.
But thanks again for the Wikipedia entry. That is itself a big first reading and once I do it I'm sure it will provide me other reading sources, preferably books.

Why do I get the feeling that if you had to subdue a burglar, you would pause to put a baseball game on (or C-SPAN) before finishing.

My focus goes to what is most compelling.
I did read that entire Wikipedia entry.
Did confirm that I did see the movie that was somewhat based upon it. Was a good movie.
Did not, though, seem to be any books written about it. There were two books written about diamonds that we stolen.

From the VP\ARM thread:
I didn’t realize that ios/ipadOS Notes could be saved as PDFs. Takes a lot of button presses, but that’s handy.

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us
Pretend you’re going to print and then hit (yet another) share button to save it as a PDF instead.
Btw, on my ipad I noticed that in Notes there’s also the option to scan pages. I scanned a piece of newsprint, and it added it as a page to my note in progress. Instantly searchable (OCR), not just a “dumb” image. We’ve come a long way.

It has been years since I did this. I don't think I ever saved as PDFs. I thought I was doing a copy of all the contents in front of me in Notes and then pasting it into an email to myself so that I could get at it on this computer? But not clear on details since it's been so long since I've done it.

^ Nice ^ I feel guilty about eating octopus after watching ‘My Octopus Teacher’ on Neflix, but I still partake occasionally.

Summary of a WSJ article: so when politicians decide they don’t want a TikTok ban after all, it’s not so much for libertarian reasons as it is because Jeff Yass and Susquehanna Bank are donating millions to save their billions. ($21B of $28B is from an extremely early bet on ByteDance (TikTok))
