Best strategy to take 401k or IRA RMDs from a Permanent Portfolio in retirement?
Re: Perm. Portfolio Withdrawls at 70 1/2
I'm not sure it matters much.
I would probably roll everything into a series of IRAs in the first place (unless I was still working and couldn't), so the issue would probably never arise for me.

I inadvertently happened on a strategy about 8 years ago. I married a woman 17 years younger than me and not only did I get a great wife but I discovered that I reduced the percentage of my MRD significantly.JMoyle wrote: Best strategy to take 401k or IRA RMDs from a Permanent Portfolio in retirement?
Other than that the only strategy I know of is to reduce your income tax bracket in any way you can.
