Trumpism is not a philosophy or a movement. It's a cult.

A simple portfolio with no market timing will win over time.

That's what Ad Orientum was trying to explain to these people...without much success.craigr wrote: A simple portfolio with no market timing will win over time.

I rarely spend much time on Seeking Alpha anymore. Its overwhelmingly about quick money and speculative investing. I only pop in now and then when the PP or PRPFX comes up. And then it seems there are always people trying to figure how to trade it. Sometimes I feel like I am banging my head on a brick wall.

A website like Seeking Alpha inherently appeals to market timers. I'm seeking to match the market. Over time trying to match the market gives you Alpha over market timers because they will lag the market doing what they do.AdamA wrote:That's what Ad Orientum was trying to explain to these people...without much success.craigr wrote: A simple portfolio with no market timing will win over time.
As I've said many times, I love taking money from market timers. It's the easiest money I make.

To each, their own I guess. There's no point in trying to convert everyone, as we all have different approaches to the market.
