Is it just me or is anyone else having a problem with this thread loading to the most recent unread post? All the other topics work fine, but this one keeps opening to 3 pages back.
Same issue here.
let 2022 be the year of GOLD
Thinking of a few pp forum members as I read about the sound of pickleball annoying the neighbors O0 (WSJ)
There’s also an amusing article about buying iBonds in the WSJ

Same here. I thought I'd asked the same question long ago here. Though it could have been the same problem in a different topic.

I think it's a side-effect of deleting vincent_c's posts en masse from the database. Somehow the software now has the wrong idea of how many posts there are, or something. I'll see if I can straighten it out.

I'm all for a new policy that says posts will not be deleted en masse if someone chooses to leave. Just sayin'.

Seems reasonable to me and I'd support that policy. I cannot delete anything I put on Twitter.

Yes. You are 100% correct. I got it confused with not being able to EDIT anything I put on Twitter. Though I'd certainly concede that deleting a tweet may qualify as being a MASSIVE edit!

Thanks Xan! Also, I find it strange that someone can just say "Delete my posts". I feel like it's saying "Garcon clean up my mess, and give me more coffee!" Personally, I feel like when I post something, its posted. Everything else, like delete request are discretionary and best effort, no guarantees. Or maybe it can just be stated that once you post, the post can be taken down at a forum admin's discretion but there is no obligation to do so.

Anyway thanks again, I learn a tremendous amount from this forum.

Is gold just about the worst performing commodity of them all over the past 12 months? It could be.

I think there is not much commodity use for it though. So its main use is monetary and jewelry. Not sure what percentage per year is used in electronics and other industrial uses. But based on my limited understanding, it is negligible.

I bought more gold purely based on dualstow's sig, and I'll be quite disappointed if he lets me down. O0

But seriously, the only way I can live with gold in my portfolio is to embrace and enjoy the sheer randomness of it. It's never going to behave like we think it should. It's kinda fun.
