Let me guess... next step in Europe will be the outlawing of private gold ownership, and possibly bitcoin, and the "reasons" given will be "money laundering, drug trade, terrorism"... the same "reasons" cited in relation to the €500 note. It's called "Lazy good-for-nothing retired people! Shut up and spend so you can boost asset prices and my multi-million bonus!"
