Cash is far from being trash these days

Here's a good post by a smart young guy I've been following for the past few years. Cullen also has an excellent series of videos on YouTube that are worth having a look at and perhaps sharing with younger folks who like to absorb financial stuff in bite-sized bits. He's better than anyone else I've seen in distilling complex topics to their essence.

Here he makes a pretty compelling case for buying T-bills (13 and 26 week is my preference) at auction and just putting them on auto-rollover (which most brokerages allow you to do) as by far the best cash option.

Of course if you're at Vanguard their Treasury MM Fund (VUSXX) has such a low ER that you could just go with that and call it a day. Not so at Schwab or FIDO which have hefty ER's. And forget about online banks...especially when the next banking crisis hits (any day now?).
