I wonder how everyone in that town are dealing with the tax implications of this. I guess if they spend it than it is declared as ordinary income? If they don't spend it than it becomes a collectibles tax? Or is it a capital gain from the face dollar value when they receive it to it's appreciation as a collectible piece of Americana?

Maybe the "American Liberty Dollar" should try again calling itself the "American Relief Dollar" so it too can issue currency and avoid Secret Service & FBI raids :o
