Trump suddenly becomes Bernie

Post by doodle »

And just when you think 2020 couldn't get weirder, Trump is jumping on the Sanders socialist free money train!

Not weird at all. How many times have i now explained that Trump is a liberal democrat at heart? Seriously it's like talking to brick walls sometimes.

What's weird is you guys suffering from TDS. If Trump had D instead of R next to his name you would love him.

It's like none of you have paid attention to anything other than CNN for years telling you orangemanbad.

This is textbook liberal new york dem Trump. He's everything you stand for except at heart he loves America and is anti war and pro borders. Those are just about the only differences he has with the Dems.

I don't even know why the lefties don't like him. Is it the orange skin?

Is that REALLY it?

Maybe it's because he wants black people working and not on the Democrat welfare plantation and he wants the middle class to prosper and keep their wealth. I guess the dems want everyone poor and dependant.

Is that what sets you guys off about the guy, or is it really the tweets?

So it seems you held your nose and voted for Trump and I did the same with Biden.

And yes, it was almost all about style. It matters in a world where you have to build consensus. But you don't really believe that communication and tact matter because it's evident by your frequent calls for martial law and revote at gunpoint that you are a true authoritarian at heart.

If you vote based on style you will definitely fall for wolves in sheep's clothing. Hence the situation we find ourselves in.

That mentality is what makes the wolves salivate.

So, if I get this right....

Republicans: No vote on Stimulus; $1,200 is too much. $600

Dems: $1,200 (or more)

Republicans: No vote on Stimulus; $1,200 is too much

Dems: Ok, fine, $600

Bill passes.

Republicans: no, $2,000!

Um, really?

The President has the Majority Leaders number, right?

And I've had conservative folks on FB blaming the democrats for only passing $600

But companies can fully deduct the cost of business meals!

There are very few conservatives in Washington. The president is a big spending liberal, most Republicans are RHINOs, and basically democrats.

The democrats have turned into communists.

It's clown world. Buy gold.

Actually, it's what CNN tells you you're supposed to think about the tweets. And about things in general.

I think the difference between a libertarian and liberal these days is the extent to which you permit mainstream media outlets to dictate your thought patterns. It goes along with a deep desire for an authority/parent figure to tell you what to do. Some people find that comforting, while others instinctively recoil from such a concept. It's interesting to me how well that predicts political opinion.

This is an excellent point. 95+% of the country isn't on Twitter and has no idea what Trump tweets until CNN, NYT, & WaPo tell them.
Yet those three sources you cite reach what % of the country? 10%? Even less? But somehow they have all this outsize power to control the thinking of what percentage of the country? 75%?

That type of thinking defies clear, rational, logical thinking.

I thought a conservative / libertarian is someone who permits Trump and the popular news (Fox / conservative news gets the best ratings, right?) dictate their thought patterns. It goes along with a deep believe that they get theirs, and the rest just should have had better genes, parents, and/or be older when college when cheaper and minimum wage was higher (inflation adjusted).

(Just trying to reword Sophie's comments from the other perspective)

Must be so deep I don't recognize it. But for the most part political labels are an asinine way to attempt to classify anyone but the most partisan hack.

Right now, I'm liking Trumps latest move...and in general I'm pretty fiscally conservative. I live on under 15k a year after all, I'm no big spender. I get classified as a communist though because I believe labor needs to negotiate more effectively for themselves...but I digress.

Anyways, I thought it was hilarious to see Tucker Carlson lambasting democrats for being so stingy with the common man suffering from the effects of this pandemic. Now I know Ive seen it all!! His talking points could have literally flowed straight out of Bernie's mouth and no one would have batted an eye.

That's a stretch. They are generally the media org. of the republican party. They take their cues from them.

You probably thinking OANN or Newsmax is where it's at now. Frankly, I wouldn't trust any media organization anymore. You pretty much have to read source documents nowadays..can't rely on anyone's spin.

I have been liking Newsmax when I get time. They seem to be the only ones reporting anything close to accurately. I never heard of them until after the election when FOX joined team Biden/Fraud all-in.

OANN is fine too, I just don't have enough time to listen to more than a few min a day.

FOX has been mostly trash for a long time. I've listened to Hannity tell us all that Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are bad for years. I mean duh. They are pied pipers.

Ohhh man I haven't seen anything from Queen Ann lately. She is a woman of principle. She wanted the wall and other things promised. Trump didn't deliver and she called him out. She got kicked out of the club.

I'll take Ann over Trump any day, but he's the best we got right now. She's disappointed for the same reasons I am. I think we need him to stop the fraud but he's far, far from ideal as I've said many times.

It is confusing. We are not headed in the right direction. Maybe we really need to go all-in with the communism and take the punishment and hope we can come out the other end. I really don't want us doing that though.

Well, I don't agree with Coulter much, but I'm on board with her here....in fact, it sounds like exactly something I would have written here. Lol

In her own extended Twitter rant, Coulter lashed out at Trump, calling him, among other things, “a complete blithering idiot,” “a shallow and broken man” and “the most disloyal actual retard that has ever set foot in the Oval Office.”

Once the AI kicks in and guts our workforce we better come up with something creative to save capitalism.

I can see the headlines...communism saves capitalism!
