CNN reports Trump's victory path - Shocking!

Post by SomeDude »

140 seconds guys.

For CNN to put this out, they must realize Trump's staying in and they don't want a mass exodus of their remaining tiny viewership.

They will be able to claim that they tried to report accurately as opposed to just telling their viewers it was all over then letting them be surprised when Trump ends up winning.

I've got to think the only way they are breaking from the Biden inevitability narrative is because they know the fraud is crumbling.

Imagine the fear this is whipping up in their ignorant viewership who have heard nothing but "no evidence....president elect Biden....blah blah".

And I would say CNN did not call Arizona for days, while Fox called quickly. I would say CNN viewers likely have a more open mind about this possible path vs. the Trump won, full stop, echo chamber we have here.

If this election turns out correctly, that is, with legal votes counted, then Trump wins.
And if that happens, the effect among the brainwashed masses will be epic!
What do you think of my theory? The way i see it, CNN is a fake news democrat tabloid media company. They are professional and coordinated. They do not report truth on accident. This must have been cleared at the top of the org since it flips the narrative of inevitability.

They must see Trump is almost certain to win and they're moving to plan B. Plan B would be to claim its corrupt republican legislators destroying democracy or something so they can whip up antifa and BLM to riot.

They want to recruit more members for those orgs and are getting out in front.

Either way i think it's a wonderful sign that the enemy of the American people arei moving off their number 1 strategy and onto a back up plan.

Love it!

However, it is refreshing that this forum is not an echo chamber. It seems that every conceivable point of view is represented here?

While some think things may have been either too uncivil or too disrespectful or both...the intensity of either is nothing compared to the responses that would have occured on Facebook.

I obviously have my own unique perspectives which match up with no one else's here. They are closer to some people and farther away from others. However, even for those who represent different points of view, I do see a lot of truth in what they say and am oftentimes mentally figuratively nodding myself in agreement. Being here is an enlightening experience for me on many levels and on many topics.

Is the Kool Aid grape or cherry flavored? Shocking, a reputable news organization would report this stuff. That would be like, my God, Fox showing liberal viewpoints. Which they do.

The ones that don't? The off the wall internet doom and conspiracy porn news sites. The hyperinflation news sites. The gold bug news sites.

I know, I was sucked into this shit from about 2008-2011.

Fox is run by dems and is about 60% anti trump, and in all things that matter, hence they've hired a crisis management team to deal with viewership collapsing after they showed their true colors. Even CNN didnt call AZ for a week after while Fox called it minutes after the polls closed. They're democrat activists pushing for Biden. Did you see their fake polls???

It's been some time now, but especially pronounced since rupert Murdoch's kids took over. Here's CNBC reporting how the people running FOX donated 1.2M to Biden's campaign. Also their election coverage team leader was a lifelong Dem Clinton/Biden supporter. Hence the ridiculous AZ call while Trump was crushing and Vegas odds were moving to -500 for him.

If you watched FOX on election night you'd see they were salivating at trying to call Biden the winner. It was so bad I had to turn on CNN to try to get some impartiality.

Did you see the first debate hosted by liberal worm Chris Wallace from FOX? Even the CNBC girl (or wherever she was from) was more fair to Trump.

FOX is probably hoping for Biden so they can tell their viewers how bad he is every nighy. I mean phucking Duh? Tell us something we don't know.

Everyone is in a camp. Everyone in their tribe. No one is allowed to be impartial or moderate. You are either for Trump or kicked off the island.

Chris Wallace I actually watch on Sunday mornings because he is very impartial.

There was no other way he could have reacted that first night unless he was willing to let Trump run roughshod over the entire debate.

Which he did anyway.

It has been nice to not really hear from Trump for about three weeks, hasn’t it?

I was wondering how all of that fit into Fox's business model. But I guess you answerer that in your last paragraph.

I listen to Chris Wallace each Sunday on Fox News Sunday. I find him to be conservative but extremely fair. He goes hard after both sides and repeats the questions if they are answering the question.

I rarely get emotional reading threads here, but I got a angry when I read this. Because I haven’t heard from Trump at all, ever, because I don’t watch the news or follow mainstream media. And I’m only tangentially aware he says things people from inflammatory to troll the left-wing and the troll the mainstream media.

Do you mean to tell me that for the last 4 years, Trump came to your home and started saying crazy things?

Or are you going out of your way to watch liberal media outlets take snippets of what he says out of context? Is Trump forcing himself into your life or are you inviting him in?

And for the last 4 weeks, has he stopped talking, or have the liberal media outlets stopped reporting on him?

The reason I got angry at your comment is because the democrats will destroy the foundation of America and it seems like 90% of the people who voted for Biden did so solely because Orangeman Bad because liberal media took snippets of what he said out of context and had newscasters made snide remarks about him for four years. A handful of times I saw a headline in the background, and looked into the original source of what Trump said and each of those times it was clearly taken out of context.

It’s my belief our country will be destroyed because the media has done such a fantastic job making Orangeman look bad that people know democrat policies are economically insane (printing trillions of more dollars) and physically dangerous (giving antifa free reign and defunding police) and yet these people voted for Biden solely to stop hearing from Trump. Because somehow unless we voted Trump out, our lives would be inundated with horrible things he says because as president he can insert himself in our lives on a daily basis. And we are powerless to stop it!!!

I’m really angry about this because with Trump out of office, he’s going to have far more free time to say crazy outlandish things, even likely to start his own TV network, and he will be creating more content. But if the liberal media chooses to stop reporting on him, then you have a reprieve from his craziness. Which, of course, they won’t, because they want ratings and the best way to get ratings is to report on things taken out of context in an inflammatory way.

And you choose to invite the liberal media into your life and thus choose to invite what Orangeman says into your life, in spite of the fact most Biden voters actually support Trumps policies, if he would just shut up, and these same voters have the power to make Orangeman shut up by changing the channel on their TV.

But, no, you choose to invite the liberal media into your life which brings in Orangeman craziness and because of that choice you made, now you have to vote for the worsen of the candidates with policies that will hurt you, and in spite of that, no personal responsibility is taken, and it’s Orangeman’s fault for being bad.
I think that this may not have been 100% directed at Cortopassi for making the statement you quoted? But also directed at ANYONE who voted for Trump?

You have written a lot above. However it seems to be that for all you wrote its basic thesis is: if you voted for Biden (and not for Trump) then it is solely because you've been totally duped by getting your information exclusively from that mainstream media which totally distorts him by quoting things out of context.

Am I at least in the right country in regards to what you are saying?

My general only exposure to the mainstream media is listening to the five Sunday news talk shows. But that is only a small part of the political information that I take in. The great majority is from C-Span.

In case you don't know about C-Span it will show events in their entirety with no commentary. No filters. They also have a three hour morning program every single day of the year. It is called Washington Journal and is on from 7 AM to 10 AM, Eastern time.

This program has impartial hosts who are forbidden from ever giving their opinions on anything. They have regular people calling it throughout the show and they try to keep a balance between the two predominant political parties among callers. They also have on the program all kinds of political guests, allowing someone like you or me can call in to ask questions of these guests. This program has on many big names on it, well known to all here and discussed by us here.

First thing I do every morning upon getting out of bed is put on Washington Journal. I'll oftentimes stay on C-Span after Washington Journal ends 10 AM.

When I did so yesterday at 10 AM they played this:

https://www.c-span.org/video/?478850-1/ ... -joe-biden

NOVEMBER 26, 2020

President Trump Thanksgiving Day Remarks

In Thanksgiving Day remarks, President Trump says the election was rigged and that it would be a mistake for the Electoral College to vote for Joe Biden. However, he says he would leave the White House but won’t say if he’ll attend the inauguration.

You stated: " I don’t watch the news or follow mainstream media."

Now is your chance to hear every single word Trump said in its entirety with no quotes taken out of context or any commentary. And, for you to make up your own mind. It's only 25 minutes long so I challenge you to listen to it and give us your opinion of what you hear.

When I listened to it when it came on yesterday at 10 AM I could not believe what I was listening to. I later yesterday commented about it here but received no response to it from anyone. I think I concluded with saying that if it had been a caller making the same comments which Trump had...then I'd have labeled that caller a "wacko".

Do you remember when Trump spoke at Mt. Rushmore several months ago? I listened to the entire thing three times. When I say entire, I mean entire. Not just when he spoke but all the pre-ceremonies, the people who spoke after him, and then the after ceremonies. How does your premise at all apply to me and my judgments of him? No quotes out of context. No mainstream media interpretations. ALL his words EXACTLY as they came out of his mouth.

I will bet that I've actually heard more of him than almost of his supporters here.

A Trump rally was an almost not miss event for me. Not because I believe almost anything he had to say but because he is a gifted entertainer. As far as politicians go he defines the phrase "sui generis".

You are no doubt a high talented and intelligent person who is also a skillful writer. But your writing loses power when it contains too many generalizations that just don't apply. They come across as some straw man argument that does not too well relate to reality but which, of course, then allows you to easily destroy and demolish. Too much like Trump, it comes across as entertaining but, in the end, it's not persuasive.

I am always open to be persuaded. Persuade me.

Sorry you're angry, Tom.

Man you guys are writing books as responses lately.

I have listened to Trump for over four years. I voted for him in 2016.

I am one of those who got sick of his manners. Sorry for that. That's how I am. I will give people many chances, trust me. He used them all up and then some.

So I voted for Biden. As apparently a lot of others did.

And yeah, you're right, I don't have to listen to him. But I like politics, and at minimum I watch Sunday shows like Vinny. Between that, and the internet, it is literally impossible to not have Trump in a news cycle in your face, regardless of the media you consume. I will enjoy four years of little twittering.

Somedude, you haven't been on the forum that long. Yes, I plainly have admitted that policy wise, I am not at odds with everything Trump did. And I am perfectly fine with everyone thinking a vote for Biden was illogical given that.

Just a little change in style and he would possibly have gotten my vote and enough others for another four years.

Character matters in a leader. Period. Whenever a country becomes willing to look past the character flaws of their leaders bad things always happen. You must make sure the people in power have character. I totally agree with you Corto. I also agree Biden was the "lesser of the two evils". This last 4 years our country has been a circus show. It's been downright embarrassing to be an American for the last 4 years. I'm happy we have a moderate coming into office. If say Bernie had won the D primaries it would have been a more difficult decision. But Biden was clearly the "lesser evil" this year, it was a no brainer.

Amplifying that.

Character matters.

Character matters for all people.

Character matters especially for our leaders.

Recently Mountaineer provided us a link to the 40 character virtues. I stated I reviewed them and believe that Trump possessed not ONE of them. I stand by that.

How does one attack the Democratic party for its supposed desire to destroy all American values yet at the same time support a president who possesses not one character virtue (out of 40!!!)?

SomeDude, you're not the only one who has taken offense at Cortopassi's comments. I genuinely believe though, that in his own eyes he is being polite and honest, and doesn't realize how his blind allegiance to Biden and the Democratic Party comes across.

He is also a perfect example of probably the majority of Biden voters. They've been listening to the media's relentless attacks on Trump for the past 5 years. Left to his own devices, his vote might easily have gone the other way. I think the election outcome, even as it is currently presented, is an astonishing testament to the independent-mindedness of a a large chunk of the US population. If this were any other country, with generations of conformity built into the culture, it would have been a landslide Biden victory.

Cortopassi, I already know I can't counter the effect of 5 years of mainstream media brainwashing with a few posts, so I'll just leave you with this: be careful what you wish for. There are a lot of people who voted for Biden who are probably going to realize their mistake in a couple of years when the economy is in the crapper due to the extended national lockdown that will be imposed the moment he takes office, the low & middle class see persistent unemployment, increased taxes, and stagnant or reduced real wages due to the floods of illegal (sorry, "new") immigrants streaming in unchecked, manufacturing and service jobs paying above minimum wage are once again exported overseas, and we are in the middle of yet another poorly justified middle east war.

I'm rather proud of the two members of my immediate family who went through the same brainwashing and held similar opinions to Cortopassi, but still in the end voted for Trump because they realized the above implications of a Biden presidency.

sophie, I respectfully disagree. We'll see what the next four years bring. And I know I can't change your mind.

Please don't call me brainwashed, at least from the left. I may have been from the right, from about 2011 to 2018. I will state again:

--I voted for Trump in 2016
--Up until ~2018 I was still able to given him the benefit of the doubt.

You guys also seem to be taking this much more personally than I am, like I am personally attacking your choice.

I generally bash Trump's style. Again, if I have offended you guys, sorry. You are able to vote for Trump, and I am able to vote for who I want as well, which this time was Biden.

If anything, I have been the one to turn the other cheek all the time on this forum to those who have turned my choice to vote for whom I want, for whatever reason I want, into a personal attack on my logic and sanity.

I will state what Vinny and pmward just did: Character Matters. It's on a banner as well on the grade school just down the street (Character Counts). The banner does not say to call everyone names and losers who disagrees with you.

So Trump didn’t call anyone names prior to your voting for him in 2016? Seems to me like Trump has been Trump his whole life.

I think at one point you mentioned that you sort of held your nose when you voted for Trump in 2016 and hoped he might decide to change his crude manners and become more “presidential” after he took office in 2017.

People don’t suddenly change their characters after over 70 years of life just because they happen to start a new job. I suspect that deep down, you felt that you were voting for a guy with little character, so what you were really hoping would change would be the window dressing, not the man’s character.

But the window dressing didn’t change, so you became a never-Trumper.

Almost all politicians lack real character when you get down to it. So we tend to vote based on policy, window dressing, or both.

If the dems ran anyone except Hillary, I would have voted democratic.

Yes, I was hoping for a pivot. And as I see from my late 80s father, changing your stripes as you are older is hard. My bad.

And yes, I knew enough that I was not voting for a saint. But again, it was Trump vs. Hillary. This time, with 4 years as president and Biden as the opponent, it was a no brainer to vote Biden.
