Uranium

Post by Mike59 »

Uranium stocks are down 90% off their all time highs. Anyone else eyeing this ?

I own the components of URA individually (Cameco/Nexgen/Uranium Participation) with exposure in the US, especially with this talk of Trump looking to put Tarrifs on foreign uranium. As I've heard on some podcasts, either they have to mine more uranium soon as world demand increases (several plants coming online worldwide) or the lights are going out.

There's something intriguing about a sector this beaten up, Thoughts?

Thats what the collective wisdom thinks its worth. We can write a narrative that will sound good to our monkey brains; "It can only go up from here" or "Humans will always F-up nuclear and have Fukushimas"

Insider trade, buy the market, or recognize that our pet theories of the future (speculation) are just fun. But not a productive use of time.

That said I bought DBA and DBC because Ocho pointed out how beat up they are =)

I don't see a move until/unless nuclear power gets another look. It seems to me solar, wind and waves are getting a lot more attention as serious carbon based fuel replacements.

In short, it may be a great time but there needs to be some demand again.
