PIMCO Total Return Fund (PTTRX PTTDX etc...) question

Post by Kel »

Quick question -  Bill Gross manages the PIMCO total return fund and is the biggest mutual fund currently or so I  understand -  they have several versions including an ETF (BOND) -  PTTRX is the institutional version of this fund with operating expenses at about .46% while PTTDX is retail version available at many brokerages with operating expenses at .75% and 12-b fee it seems as well. I remember somewhere seeing that there was another mutual fund with a low minimum investment of $1000 or so and lower costs that essentially pooled their money into the PTTRX institutional fund. Does anyone here know anything about this? I looked around but could not find it. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks so much!
