By indirect I mean not by buying bitcoin, neither pure coin itself nor funds like GBTC.
Nvidia was a nice way to play it for a long time, and perhaps it still is, because miners need computing power.
What else?
I think financial firms stand to rake in a lot of fees from selling instruments like GBTC. I would love to profit from that. You could buy stock in financial firms, but will these new fees be enough to make shares surge?
Remember how merchants used to sell shovels and Levi jeans to prospectors during the California Gold Rush?

Great Grandpa Levi handed down the story.

I think this is a very good question. I think Paypal is an example of a company with an existing very successful model that is positioned to lay crypto on top of it.
They recently announced a crypto checkout option, and they also offer the ability to buy, sell or hold BTC, ETH, LTC and BTC cash with them. To me, this means they can function in the same way as Coinbase.
But what I like is even if crypto fizzles out, Paypal as we have known it is still a substantial business worth owning. Just their Venmo product alone is poised for decent growth. Look into it, see what you think.
