Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures
Mathjak, what were your early symptoms and what would you recommend that a person do if experiencing those symptoms?

Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures
The day the symptoms started I was jogging that morning running 3 miles ....late afternoon I had a tickle in my throat ..
I had a little tiny bit of not even a cough but more like you would do with a drip ..I didn’t even think about it .
Next day 101.4 ....felt crappy but not bad , wife and I were playing scrabble .....
Then I felt not so good 3rd day ..still fever , no appetite, the no sleeping started ...every time you doze off the body jolted me with a little adrenaline walking me up . Went to get tested and positive.
That went on for 8-9 days ..no sleep at all .
Day 10 holy shit .....oxygen levels were in the 80’s around 3am ....I was unstable standing ....my wife called an ambulance ...the virus generally regroups day 10 to 14 and attacks with a vengeance ..
I was admitted and released 14 days later ....home now , no oxygen needed although they provided us with oxygen generators .they make oxygen out of the air .
I am up and around , no bed all day and try to move and groove all day long .
Lung capacity is improving daily .
My wife is just a tad behind me ..tomorrow is day 29 from first symptoms for me ...I was treated with remdesivir infusions and steroids for weeks.
Mind you when my wife and I were tested my wife showed negative, I showed positive...having symptoms she went for another test elsewhere a week later and negative .
These are the tests where they roll a q-tip in a nostril not the swab that feels like it’s going to your brain .
When she went to the hospital they only use the long stick swab not the nostril one ..bingo she showed positive...the hospital said the tests being done can be inaccurate compared to the long swab .
How scary is it that after two negatives she would have just gone about thinking all’s well

Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures
In retrospect I should have gotten to an emergency room way sooner ......the earlier they start the remdesivir the better it may be for you but no guarantee...we kept talking to our doctor and he felt we were fine .
But the virus was multiplying and every day adding something else in to the mix ...then around day 10 it is like it leveled off ...okay not so bad .
The hospital said most show up there days 10-14 when it regroups and does a full head on attack like nothing prior

Thank you. I'm glad you're feeling better. I have cancer, so I'm doubly worried. I'm 64, in NYC and can't seem to get a vaccine shot.

Was that 6% drop in GBTC too irresistable?

Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures
Not daytrading, but a mathjak question:
Are you a landlord in NYC? Are the tenants paying rent?
Or is that too personal?

Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures
No longer own any real estate ....we sold the last two apartments in 2019 and officially closed the LLC THIS YEAR .
The best thing e ver would have been if our tenants did not pay the rent ...because they were coop but had original rent stabilized tenants who did not buy in the 1980’s the only way to eventually get them out is if they didn’t pay the rent
