You’re right...sorry, not sorry.
I openly post how I feel albeit far too much and noticeably to others disdain.
It’s my nature to refine until I have a product I am comfortable using and the PP just gives me so much angst.
I love the concept but in practice it’s frustrating to own.

It's also frustrating for us to hear you whining about the PP doing things that it has done many times previously.

Take 5 minutes to go over to portfoliovisualizer.com and look at the PP performance from 1972 to 2018. You will see many times where the PP has had drawdowns, and the current drawdown is no worse than the previous drawdowns. Some of these drawdowns even happened at times when stocks were going down. So what is the big deal? Just that you didn't do any due diligence before you bought into the PP? You thought that it only went up, never down?

Here’s a prime example of being attacked after explaining my point of view.

I’m familiar with the drawdowns.
Just don’t want to dupe others into believing this is the holy grail to investing.
I’m stock heavy so doing fine.

That sums it up succinctly, nice job!
I don’t have $6.00 USD in 3 ETF’s so I don’t expect you to understand.
When I posted earlier in the day all assets were down except gold which was +.31%. UUP was -.17% so I guess cash was positive too.
It really bugs you that others don't share your PP depression. Misery loves company, I guess, but passive aggressive swipes at someone's wealth is below board.
I appreciate the backup, iwealth.

It's all good. Budd has gotten a snarky remark or two from me, but he asks for it. It's a forum and that's going to happen sometimes. I can't be offended, and I'm sure Budd has a thick skin too.

Most of us here are well off and have no reason to complain about anything. Having a bad day/week/month/year in the market is something we ALL experience. Shoving it in peoples' faces that you think their allocation sucks is just rude and demands some kind of retort.

The PP is NOT for everyone. In fact, it's not for me. I am 40% equities, 20% long bonds, 20% gold, and 20% cash. That said, what beef would I have with the PP? It's way more stable than my allocation and will certainly outperform it during our next serious bear market.
Don't agree with me too strongly or I'm going to change my mind

No worries. I understand your frustrations. I was able to follow the PP for about 5 months or so before I figured out I couldn't stick to it. I needed more growth. I didn't want to stray too far, since I believe in the concept.

I like your honesty, Budd. And no one can say you're afraid to speak your mind.

For those on non-Chrome browsers, which don't yet support the "WebP" image format, that was a head-explosion animation.

Actually it was the switch to phpBB from whatever software was running the board before that killed those avatars. They were gone before the move to the new host.

if you have a copy of your avatar on your own computer it should be possible to upload it to the new software, i lost mine briefly after the changeovers but had no problems putting it back up..

If this is too small, I can take a screenshot from the video this weekend, as they probably have the clip on youtube.
(attached). I forgot there are no attachments here, so I uploaded it to tinypic:

I remember watching a show on MTV many years ago about Carmen Electra's wedding to Dave Navarro. Dave (looking fashionably anorexic), while stuffing a handful of cake in his mouth, "I haven't eaten a carb in months!"

It’s a balancing act...carbs and strength in the gym.
I carb cycle to have strength on chest, back and leg day and reduce on other days when working accessory or smaller muscles. Once I get started I don’t really crave anything since I can fit it into my macros.

You don’t “bang” Carmen Electra.
Come on now...

Fine, 'gently sexed' or whatever. Preferred phrasing of choice.

By the way...I would still take the gym.
I have my “Carmen Electra”.
