Thank heavens the pp is doing its thing today, right guys?
I'm kidding. I don't expect things to happen perfectly in a single day of trading.

Would be nice, though, to have seen gold up, with all the babble about wage pressure and inflation.dualstow wrote:Thank heavens the pp is doing its thing today, right guys?

Interesting chart. I'm not familiar with that commodities index, but the ratio of gold alone to the S&P 500 is much different.

Diversification hurt with the $ rising and yields climbing. PP and 70/30 performed about the same.
Disappointed in Gold, but it held up relative to silver.
Pretty much a total washout.
Question is where will yields top out?

Re: Time to dump stocks and buy gold?
I think the 20 year Treasury tops out at 4.9%. Which means the 20 year Treasury has another 24% to fall. Which would be a 36% drop from June 15, 2016. I would say that's a worse case. Why do I think that? Ah... just guessing. If I could predict bond interest rates, I'd be Czar of Texas.buddtholomew wrote:Diversification hurt with the $ rising and yields climbing.
