How often do you check your portfolio?

I used to check mine every month. In the past year or so, it had started to become a chore, so now I'm just checking once a quarter. I'll check investments in late December to see if I should tax loss harvest anything, but otherwise no peeking until January 1.

This has been quite freeing! I'm aware of changes in interest rates and the gold price because of comments on the forum, but I find I don't care about them as much as I did.

Almost every day.

I hate that that's the answer, but it is. :o

At least once a week, but not because I am concerned or want to fiddle. Just curious to see how the portfolio is holding up and reacting to different events.

I check my portfolio every day. Now that I am retired, it is one of my varied hobbies. I find it fascinating to watch the assets move and read the discussions on this forum. While I have recently watched STTs and LTTs in detail, I expect to eventually move on and spend more time studying the gold and equity markets. Curiously, watching has not caused me to trade more, nor do I agonize over it the way budd did before he banned himself from these pages.

I check all the time since I trade indy stocks. The pp is just a tab away, but I only look at that 3 times a day. At the very least, I look at the price of gold and TLT, if not my specific holdings.
