Re: The Left is Eating Itself Pt. II

Shall we also ban face masks for bank robbers?

My point is this: If your intent is to enforce the law, as opposed to continually standing down, it doesn't matter one hoot whether the perp is wearing a face mask or not. The jail strip search pretty much bares all.

Re: The Left is Eating Itself Pt. II

Are there ANY classical liberals left? You know, the kind that believe in individual liberties? If so, where are they hiding, and why have they chosen to be silent in the face of all this goofiness?

Re: The Peter Schiff portfolio: an evolutionary offshoot of the PP

Even assuming that Schiff is ultimately right about the outcome of the current debt crisis, it's hard to predict the lengths to which our government might go to make things work out for the elites, on one hand, and the debt-ridden masses on the other. It will be a hard pill to swallow if the assets ...

Re: The Peter Schiff portfolio: an evolutionary offshoot of the PP

I'm living proof of the devastation he and his ilk wreaked upon naive investors acting out of fear. I've still got a boatload of miners that have been sitting in an investment account since 2007 and that are still significantly in the red. I not only lost the majority of everything I had saved over ...

You'll notice that they do this only in cities whose officials are seditious pussies. If these mental defectives were to try that outside of these self-designated safe spaces, I suspect the outcome would have been very different.

A question only a PP novice could ask

Could I trouble you'all with a quick question? If you had a modest nestegg to invest, but also wanted to use those funds as "bridge money" to facilitate the transition from an ultra-high-maintenance property to something a bit more manageable, would you go ahead and invest in the PP, knowing that yo...

Re: Will Trump be Re-elected?

He was asking whether flyingpylon's suggestion applied to the pro-Trump ones. It didn’t, because the discussion was specifically about Trump. But generally speaking, I don’t advise that people allow things that bother them to live rent-free in their head. It doesn’t seem healthy. A guy named Harry ...

What about your insane obsession with "The Left?" Sounds a lot like the conservatives who b!tched about Obama for 8 years claiming he was a muslim traitor commie. I'm sure there are plenty of Americans, including but definitely not limited to tens of millions of moronic conservatives, that substitu...

I used to have one, but a couple of years ago it disappeared. Never could figure out how to resurrect it.

Re: Will Trump be Re-elected?

I'm convinced that many people would sooner sacrifice their happiness and prosperity than forgo their insane obsession with Trump. In fact, I think Trump has become a one-size-fits-all excuse for many people for their failure to do anything productive with their lives.

I'm telling you, if we get into another land war in the Sandbox, this country is finished. Totally finished. The resulting new Federal debt will destroy us, actually maybe it's too late, the trillions spent in the Sandbox thus far may have done that already. Raw military might may, ironically, be t...

The term y'all is growing in popularity in the north, and I've heard it spoken outside the U.S. too.
Well there's y'a'll, which is appropriate when addressing two or three, but when addressing a group, I believe the proper term is "all y'all."

Re: Long Term Care

The problem is that LTC insurance is unlikely to be much help, given the structure of covering only the first 2-3 years. For many people that's ok since most are in nursing homes less than that time, but by the same token that should be a piece of cake for a couple with a big retirement portfolio. ...

It's interesting, though, to speculate why all of a sudden this time-honored tradition is not only being called out, but prosecuted. It's always worth watching and analyzing the power dynamics at play, as there appear to be major shifts under way. Decades ago, I worked with a visiting physician/scie...

Well said, Tyler. Are we supposed to be shocked and dismayed to learn that the elite grease the skids for their kids when it comes to both college admissions and jobs? Makes you wonder who's on the grill to have warranted such a strange expose.
