IF, in this hypothetical world, the financial strategies I think you're talking about (holding government bonds, fiat currencies, etc etc the whole doomsday platter) "goes to hell" or whatever, the only INVESTMENT that would make sense, to me, is something that functions as currency. So ...

what is the best US broker to open account for PP creation ?
I live in eurozone, do you think it is a bad idea? I am trying to diversify also, but if any problem occurs with the US broker, i will have difficult to handle, being so far.

If I'm not mistaken you are European. I believe that many ETF's in Europe are synthetically constructed, which is important to consider as these would be much more dangerous, IMO.

Hi Frugal, If the dollar goes down 30% vs the euro then when you sell Gold you get more dollars so you still get the right amount in euros. Hi Frugal, IAU is gold, in dollar prices. You sell IAU and convert the dollars to euros. I only use IAU because the fee is 0.25%. VGK is European shares priced in dollars.
