I had multiple pulmonary emboli but it was 8 months after receiving my 2nd shot. I have cancer too so I can't be certain of what caused the emboli.

Gold and LTT’s cannibalizing each other to the downside as rates rise.

Re: Yay PP!

Thanks to all those who continue to drag my name through the mud. Take a look at the wonderful PP today with stocks down 2%+ and Gold/LTT’s basically flat. Portfolio is garbage. You lose on the upside and the downside. Keep the faith though, I’m sure it will turn out well. Dolts. Budd, if stocks ar...

I, for one, enjoy reading mathjak's posts even if I don't always agree with them. I've learned from him and I hope that we have a big enough tent here not to drive him away.

Re: Electric Vehicles and Tires

I was sitting in a parking lot of a supermarket when a flatbed tow truck hauls in a Tesla that had ran out of juice. The tow truck backed the Tesla up to the charging station and the owner climbed up on the truck with the electric charger in her hand. She couldn't open the doors of her vehicle eithe...

My Tesla burns no fossil fuels Where does the electricity come from? I didn't say no fossil fuels were burned. Just that my Tesla doesn't directly burn them. Pretty sure EVs are not going to save the planet. I guess we'll see. Okay. As long as we're all aware that driving a Tesla doesn't mean that ...

Re: Schemes for maximizing cash returns

How's this for a scheme? You buy CDs using a 2% cash back credit card and you instantly have a 2% tax free return. I know someone who's been doing this for years. You're talking about certificates of deposit, not compact discs, right? How do you buy CDs (the certificates) with a credit card? He has...

I bought PHYS years ago and dislike it but I don't want to pay taxes to switch out of it. I guess I'm stuck. PHYS is a Trust & therefore isn't taxed at the Collectibles rate: it is taxed like any other ETF. For the PP, I've got all stocks and LTTs in the tax deferred accounts and SHY+IAU in a b...

Brkb is up about 28% this year and pays zero dividends, making it a nice buy and hold in a taxable account. It's had a fine year but lagged before this. I sold my Amzn to buy it nearly a year ago.
