Re: Biden Covid
Ok, Bidens covid advisor is putting forward the idea of paying people to stay home for 4-6 weeks to contain spread. We'll see how this winter develops but already I'm thinking that sounds a bit extreme. Look at me disagreeing with one of my party's advocated positions! I don't mean this disrespectf...

Re: " Trump has a second, viable stealthy road to victory."
How so? Thomas Jefferson wasn't even involved in writing constitution ...that was merely his opinion. How does originalism argue for rewrite? I'm saying that if you want a constitutional rewrite, then the philosophy of originalism helps you. If you believe that you can dream up whatever, then no re...

Re: " Trump has a second, viable stealthy road to victory."
I often wondered if Biden selected Kamala so that the GOP would be less likely to try to impeach him if they got control of the House. Kamala makes Biden look good.

lol. Good point.Kriegsspiel wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 7:08 amMaybe that's why those medieval sources talk about second sleep so much. Those people drank wine and ale all day and were wasted pretty much all the time.

Re: A different take on sleep structure
For anyone really interested, there is a discontinued product that you can sometimes get on ebay called a Zeo alarm clock. It is really the only consumer-grade device I have ever seen for tracking sleep cycles. Watches, phone apps, mattress monitors, etc are all insanely inaccurate. Anyways, the Zeo...

Re: A different take on sleep structure
People without electricity get a solid 7 a night. Exhausted from moving all day. When I get a solid 8, I cant get tired again by bed time. So I have a few drinks to pass out, wake up after 6 hours of bad sleep, have a couple more to get back to sleep or stay up and be miserable. I might try not kee...

Has the supreme court not weighed in on this issue? It is my understanding that they have and that their interpretation of the framers intent is different from the conclusions that I'm am reading people reach here. Good question doodle. I would assume you would first need for the House to nominate ...

glenn, there seems to be a lot of confusion on your part about voting for President, which is very common these days. The state legislatures choose the Electors. Period. There is no right to vote for President. Xan, I *think* I understand the process. To me the issue that you are speaking of comes ...

Re: " Trump has a second, viable stealthy road to victory."
I could be wrong here, but I believe the hypothetical situation would be: - Pennsylvania's democratic governor submits his list of Democratic electors to D.C (since his guy won based on the counts). - At the same time, Pennsylvania's republican state legislature submits their list of Republican elec...

Re: " Trump has a second, viable stealthy road to victory."
I wouldn't think it necessarily has to be proved whether the voter fraud pushed the result in Biden's or Trump's favor. It seems like the existence of voter fraud itself (provided it's of a sufficient magnitude) could simply invalidate the state's election result, especially if it's impossible to d...

Re: " Trump has a second, viable stealthy road to victory."
IMHO, the Supreme Court will only hear the issue(s) if it will have a material outcome. Even then, the Supreme Court will likely uphold each state's independence in conducting their elections (which is typically determined by that state's legislature). If different rules were followed other than wha...

Re: " Trump has a second, viable stealthy road to victory."
It is definitely viable. In fact, I suspected he was paving the road for this even before the election. Trump, just like any good businessman, will pretty much always have a Plan B. Many of the states that are being disputed have a democratic governor and republican state legislature (or vice versus...

I try to take a 20 minute "nap" around 2pm (I actually use a self-hypnosis mp3 because hypnosis basically shows the same brain activity as REM sleep and is easier to wake up from). What is the self-hypnosis MP3 you use? I would be interested in trying it although I am skeptical that I could ever be...

Does anyone know of an asset class that correlates strongly with LTT’s. Like a lot of people in the forum, LTT’s at zero scare me and I want to figure out a way to keep my portfolio dynamics the same while reducing my exposure to LTT ’s. Unfortunately, there is no way to keep your current portfolio...

Remove opinion from MSM except where explicitly stated that it's the opinion page or whatever. All news must be reported as fact only, with verifiable sources. What about outlets like Reuters that are not biased in HOW them report, but are biased in WHAT they report? For example, they will report f...
