Where you live?

Here is a Google Earth view of where I live. Most of you would consider it rural? As I have a few times stated, my street (40 mph) is the major road in the area so first to get snow plowed by the town. Houses within a mile each way of my house on my street probably range in price between $115,000 to...

And, I since learned that many of those in the cruise ship industry are registered under foreign flags to avoid paying U.S. taxes. Vinny Slightly off topic, but if they are doing that what does it tell you? Maybe that US taxes are too high compared to the other options? Or, maybe they are all owned...

Re: Pushing your chips "all in" for the PP

It has been a little over a year since I read the book by Mr. Rowland and Mr. Lawson. I'm young (under 30) and was searching for direction in how to invest. I had read stuff by Bogle, and a few other "lazy portfolio" books like Coffee House investor, etc. I picked up Permanent Portfolio, ...

I'd rather add Beanie Babies to the PP. i actually know somebody with an extensive beanie baby collection that they inherited from their wife, and who has no idea what to do with it, how much markup can i get for brokering the deal. :D I'd head to eBay to see what they are worth... The three hosts could not restrain themselves from outbursts of laughter as it was being played. Like how Fauci couldn't contain his laughter and had to cover his face after Trump cracked the joke about the "Deep State Department" during the recent press briefing? https://media.giphy.com/...

People in the grocery store had sh** ability to stay away from me. I felt like I was at the Dojo today. Teens and olds have no concept of personal space. I'm one of those people that normally needs about six feet of space around me. I often find myself stepping back oh-so-subtlely, and more often t...

For those of you who went all in in the Permanent Portfolio at once (and, have good records)…. What was the date that you went in? And, at the time of purchase what was the level for the following Big 3 (I have the current levels in ()'s) Gold - $1,493 ( about 20% below the all-time high on 9/5/11)...

I am now going to fully open the last several days' (week's) worth of mail. After I complete doing so I will then do a day's worth of washing dishes to thoroughly cleanse my hands.

Why indeed. Bars are closed but here come the cruise ships. Makes no sense. I first heard it on the Sports Talk Radio station I have on all the time (along with C-Span being on all the time). I was not fully listening but then I was hearing some things and said to myself, "He did not really say that, did he??!!" Then I finally caught on what was going on. The thre...

What's more, the ant who prudently stocks up for a "rainy day" over the course of a decade or more (typically driving a 20-year-old car while his grasshopper neighbor pulls into the driveway with a brand new, decked out truck) is vilified for being a "hoarder." I assume that jus...
