Re: Questions from a longterm lurker

I do like your suggestion on the bonds. And holding gold coins.

Tracking performance of a basic 4x25% vs PRPFX

Is there a way to track the daily and todate performance.
I'd like to compare them as to return, drawdown, etc.
Please excuse all the questions but I have searched and
this is just too cool.

Re: Rebalancing bands for Taxable 4x25s

Thanks Adam.
So if one asset class falls below 15% or rises above 35%,
I would rebalance back to 4x25%.
That is rather elegent and simple.

Re: 4x25%, GLD vs IAU

Rebalancing bands for Taxable 4x25s

Still haven't found in the old discussions a clear suggestion
on how you guys are rebalancing for tax efficiency in a taxable account.
Quarterly, six months, yearly? When assets classes exceed certain percentages
of the account?
Big thank you..

Tex:
You look like the hero in one of my fav movies....Platoon.
Yea,I'm older!

Thanks for all of your comments.I've read most of the discussions.
I noticed that PERM does have very light volume but it will be an
excellent option.I'll be looking but assume it's closer to the 4x25%.
Thanks again.

PRPFX vs 4x25% and Drawdowns

This permanent portfilio sure sounds like what I need. Wondering why so many of you are doing some version of the 4x25%? Do you like the active management and feel like you can get a higher return? I think I would tend to over think it and kill the return.Any comment? I see some comments on the fund...
