Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures

I don’t see it ..the fed is way to anti deflation.....never fight the fed What makes you thinks the Fed has any power to do anything about it...anymore than the central bank of Japan has? They've been seriously anti deflation for almost 15 years and still haven't been able to hit targets. I really ...

Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures

I'm just waiting for the deflationary story to return...the financial media is fixated on inflation...but the most knowledgeable names I have heard of late are in the deflationary crowd. Lacy Hunt and Jeff Snider come to mind but there are others. I wouldn't be surprised to see long bonds test previ...

Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures

We need to get a QE thread started but from what I understand it's not going to to anything for inflation....just like it didnt in Japan for the last 30 years. Deficit fueled fiscal stimulus might create short quick pops above trend before dropping back and leaving us further indebted. I'm not sure ...

Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures

if i had to structure the pp the way i see the odds , i would split the tlt budget in half and put the other half in ief . that would tone tlt down a bit since deflation does not have the same odds as inflation in my limited economic mind . It's amazing though how profoundly wrong the market has be...

Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures

In the inflation thread of the bonds topic I posted a very interesting analysis of QE. I seem to be running across quite a number of sound minds in the deflationary camp. One could argue that the asset inflation we have seen is truly a self fulfilling prophecy. It's amazing how well that narrative h...

Re: Inflation

Back to inflation... Hearing from two friends in Toronto area. Houses are over 1 million, and bidding wars. Lake cottages up north are way over 1 million, sometimes 2 million, and bidding wars. I just think this can't end well. It is crazy - I used Zillow, and according to their assessment, my home...

All value is subjective as individuals. Bitcoin is trying to be money, so its perceived money-like properties give it monetary value for those looking for such value. Essentially, high price is the point of bitcoin as its trying to become money and the monetizing process is measured in $. Does it g...

Let me add...what do you think covid is doing when it invades your cells? It's also injecting it's genetic code into them.

Are you getting your information from Natural News?

I have listened to quite a bit of discussion on mRNA vaccines and this whole "gene alteration" fear is nonsense and a fundamental misunderstanding of how this vaccine tech works.

Just considering the number of vaccines I've had so far...pretty incredible

Polio, measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, hep A, hep B, tuberculosis, varicella, whooping cough, various flus, smallpox,typhoid...and now covid....

I'm sure I'm leaving some off.

Does this level of tinfoil hattery exist in other countries, or is this a uniquely american trait?
