Re: Coronavirus General Discussion
Mainstream news is reporting that New York hospitals will no longer be receiving patients in cardiac arrest. Paramedics are being instructed that if a patient cannot be revived in the field, they're to be treated as a goner. Another news article, describing the overloaded conditions at New York hosp...

Re: Suggestions for finding disinfecting wipes, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.?
A few years back, disinfectant wipes were virtually unknown. A rag with a spray bottle of dilute lysol worked for 1950s housewives, and it still works today. You can buy cheap hotel washcloths 50 to 500 at a time on eBay for very little money. They make great rags. Pretend you're a homesteader. It c...

Re: Suggestions for finding disinfecting wipes, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.?
Another idea is the hardware store. I was in the local Ace Hardware the other day and was amazed to see an entire aisle devoted to household products virtually untouched. People don't think of that.

Re: Suggestions for finding disinfecting wipes, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.?
All are available on Amazon, albeit at sky-high prices. Amazon recently instituted a policy prohibiting its third-party sellers from selling CoVid-related items in short supply at inflated prices--at the risk of having their accounts terminated. I know that because I teach a class on "life skil...

Re: Coronavirus Conspiracy Theories
You don't keep a common cold virus (common coronavirus) in a P4 lab. P4 labs are intended for the most dangerous pathogens on the planet, and the research there typically involves DNA/RNA recombinance. If this virus came out of a P4 lab, you can be virtually certain it was an engineered one.

Re: Is Denninger right about the coronavirus?
Hey, you're a good-looking dude, Cortopassi!
I agree--Denninger is making a whole lot of sense when he asks whether we should be turning the world upside down to insure that heroic measures are available to a population that is 80-95% likely to die anyway.

Re: Coronavirus General Discussion
I keep thinking. . . What sense does it make to turn every hospital and clinic into a center of contagion and, in the process, jeopardize the health and/or lives of people who need medical treatment for conditions other than CoVid-19? I previously related how an immune compromised friend with a surg...

What makes some microbes cause transient sickness while others become a permanent part of our bodily ecology?
I've been pondering this question since long before the CoVid-19 thing arose. But now I'm all the more curious. To the best of my understanding, some microbes to which we are exposed take up residence in our bodies for only a short time. They're either killed off by our immune systems or eradicated ...

Re: Did Harry Browne have it wrong?
When did Harry make this comment? Was it before or after the western technocratic elite took over that country? Was Harry a libertarian of the Posner type, the latter of which might well conclude that five-year-olds fabricating $175 Nikes for $0.50 an day is an example of the free market functioning...

The debate about masks seems so ridiculous. . . I frequently come into contact with rodent droppings in the barn and chicken coop. When cleaning, I ALWAYS wear a mask, which has been recommended since the dawn of time for protection against hantavirus. I see absolutely no reason why the same strateg...

Re: Coronavirus Conspiracy Theories
People want to know: just how bad is the COVID-19 virus and is fighting it worth the destruction of the world’s economic and financial system while disrupting the lives of hundreds of millions of people? The story behind the story will make it clear that things are seldom as they seem. In short and...

Conspicuously absent from this comprehensive going-forward plan is any mention of backtracking on the nearly universally-accepted U.N. goals for "sustainable development," a major feature of which is "density, density, density." Land use policies in nearly every county in the cou...

Re: Coronavirus General Discussion
Denninger makes a persuasive case for the proposition that the mandated social distancing sought to be achieved by a nearly complete shut-down of the economy has done very little to alter the R0 of this virus. He concludes, based upon the CDC's own statistics and several decades worth of information...

The whole adrenochrome thing strikes me as an attempt to distract the conspiracy-minded from the very real conspiracies that are coming to light and the fact that we're on the verge of losing our country. Get the right-wingers out on a limb and then discredit them in masse. I hear this a lot. Can y...

Re: Coronavirus General Discussion
In retrospect, "contrived" was a poor choice of words. I don't deny that hospitals are overwhelmed, but I do question what brought us to this point and what interests were being advanced by having a nation on lock-down and the world economy at a virtual standstill. So perhaps the term &qu...
