Re: ACA (Obamacare) v2.0
Ordinary folks don't care where the solutions come from, nor who takes political credit for them. We just want the freakin' results. Meanwhile, low information, low IQ, coddled-always-winners Millennials riot, destroy property and forment violence because "Adolf Trump" is a racist, misogy...

Best Refrigerator Temperature to Keep Food Fresh
Another mystery quantified! For the food in your refrigerator to stay fresh for as long as possible—no ice crystals on the lettuce or bacteria breeding in warm spots—the refrigerator temperature should hover right around 37° F. In the freezer, a temperature of 0° F will keep foods thoroughly frozen....

Re: New vehicle recommendations
I'm strongly leaning toward a used Honda Odyssey right now. Seems like they last forever and can do everything I need. Safety is basically tops among all cars, period. If I'm reading this right, nobody ever died in a 2011 Honda Odyssey in the year after it was released. Really, PS, you sure that's ...

Re: New vehicle recommendations
Damn I hate cars. Damn, that sucks! What are the odds? You're fortunate to still be breathing if the car is totally destroyed. You could have disappeared off here and none of us would have known why. The way I look at a car purchase is by looking at total cost of ownership (TCO) to be the lowest re...

There's a large Mormon population in that area. Not everyone of course. Very red state type area. Nice, safe area. I really can't picture you fitting in very well. http://i3.cpcache.com/product/416684427/t.jpg?width=350&height=350&Filters=%5B%7B%22name%22%3A%22crop%22%2C%22value%22%3A%7B%22...

You're getting the ideal! Where's the sense of adventure living in a zombie Borg suburb? I want to wake up everyday roaring to go about the mission not feeling dread and boredom.Kriegsspiel wrote:Or a cult, commune, or convent?

Which side, Missouri or Kansas? Re: Anyone care to predict the future?
I think it depends on how you measure it and how far back you want to go. Government fiscal year for first two years after a new President is poor/bearish. But the calendar year after a new President is bullish for small caps, especially growth. OTOH, gains under Republican adminstrations are lower ...

Re: Government [Non]Accountability Scream Room
The billionaire Koch Brothers lost. Woo hoo! Washington State and South Dakota voters gave a split decision on Tuesday on sweeping ballot initiatives that would reform campaign finance, lobbying and ethics in their respective states. The initiative in South Dakota won while the initiative in Washing...

Re: ACA (Obamacare) v2.0
This would all be moot if everyone was covered and stayed covered. Which is another failure of Obamacare, IMHO. The mandate is not a failure, they just set the penalty too low and to go up too slow over time. In the next few years (if not repealed) the penalty fee will cost as much as the Bronze pl...

If you're trying to avoid summer humidity, you can forget about the rust belt. It can't be as bad as the Southeast. That's literally a murky swamp containing chupacabras instead of a rusty belt containing children of the corns. What causes the humidity anyway? Seriously, half the country seems to b...

Re: Neocons
Neoconservatism draws on several intellectual traditions. The students of political science Professor Leo Strauss (1899–1973) comprised one major group. Eugene Sheppard notes that, "Much scholarship tends to understand Strauss as an inspirational founder of American neoconservatism."[39] ...

Greedy, cash-starved states are snatching billions of “abandoned” dollars a year from Americans. States are hording an estimated $42 billion to help fund government services. The scheme has proven to be so profitable that states are continually gaming their regulations to shorten the time limits us...

Keep pre-existing conditions protection. I think that is a certainty, and a good thing. If you're looking for "insurance" for a pre-existing condition, then you're not looking for insurance, you're looking for a handout. We can debate whether somebody should give you the handout or not, b...

In my research to far, the true value area (without being hill billy) in the USA is the Rust Belt which gave Trump his recent win. Tyler, calling Austin a LCOL location is a bit silly. You're either lacking perspecive or you don't know what true LCOL really is. No one would move there unless they sp...

It's leftover ideological crap from the Cold War and Democrats. I thi...
