Re: Trump Supporters Say The Darndest Things!!!
I wonder what percentage of politicians are genuinely concerned with telling the truth? For example the “women’s rights” dressed up mantra that allows/condones killing of a human being. Or as we once heard, you can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig. https://www.factcheck.org/2024/03/factch...

Re: Vinny VS email backdaters
A lot of email is sorted by newest first, Vin. If what you say is true then those older date emailers are doing the exact wrong thing. Do email programs give you the choice of either newest or oldest first? I just checked with my ancient Eudora email which I use for person. It always has oldest on ...

Re: Vinny VS email backdaters
When I asked someone his opinion of why they did this ... he hypothesized they did it so that their emails would be the top ones (first ones) in your In Box. Huh. At least for me it means there's approximately zero chance I would ever know it had existed. Explain yourself further? Currently my inbo...

I do a lot of "no mind" work at this computer, i.e., work that is mainly inputting that does not require all of my brain, so it gives me an opportunity to listen.

Re: Vinny VS email backdaters
Yet another example of how the Value Stock Geek consistently sends an email with an email date about 2 weeks prior to it actually being sent. I was in the email box yesterday and it had nothing left in it about 24 hours ago. The email was not there. Today it is with a 2/21/24 date. My educated gues...

Any idea why they do such a thing? That I do not know. I just happened across the interview during my normal browsing. Re: Alcohol and Nutrition
You may find that it’s an illusion. You probably ingest tiny quantities of alcohol all the time without realizing it. You are correct on that. Learned that in the excerpt from the article that I put here. Which is why the Heinekin 0.0 and Budweiser Zero would require no judgment on my part since th...

Re: Alcohol and Nutrition
I’m not sure why it’s significant. • I have a Muslim buddy who said he can drink non-alc beer, even with the 0.5% alcohol. It’s like vinegar. • I doubt it would trigger joypog’s allergy. • With regard to nutrition, I don’t know… It's significant because, in general, I'm binary. On or off. 1's or 0'...

But Vinny, New England has a superior non-alc brewery. They’re called Athletic.Google them. Both the Upside Dawn and the All-out stout are very tasty. I Binged it and quickly found this excellent article: How Much Alcohol is in Non-Alcoholic Beer? https://thenutritioninsider.com/wellness/how-much-a...

Finally, would you prefer to be loved or trusted? Yes. What's the difference between a duck? One of its legs is both the same. ;-) You got me! I've exhausted my responses in this vein! I had to pull out something the guitarist in our band would frequently say over 50 years ago. Did he get it from T...

Re: New interview with Craig Rowland
So I may have to put on the shelf my memory after reading this. Craig's second to last post here (from almost four years ago). Definitely goes counter to my memory. https://www.gyroscopicinvesting.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10642&p=202242#p202242 "But for pure simplicity I think the 25% split is ...

Re: New interview with Craig Rowland
I remember him thinking out loud about the possibility of wavering on long bonds should they go lower. I asked him about it and he didn’t want to give a specific number lest anyone “blindly follow” the move. (I wasn’t going to, harumph). That was around the time that MediumTex referred to it as a g...

Re: New interview with Craig Rowland
… However, is it not in this forum that Craig stated that he was no longer a Permanent Portfolio participant? I wonder if you’re thinking of PointedStick, a well-respected, intelligent and long-time member. He went all stocks. I don’t recall Craigr ever changing course. No. Definitely thinking of C...
