I think most of what "happens in the beltway" stays in "the beltway." Most people probably don't care, the ones that live in DC do care.

I sleep on a J-life futon on a platform bed, it's great.  I can sleep 'ok' on soft beds, but the futon is really where it's at.

Why do you think it wasn't as hard for you when the portfolio was under-performing relative to gold and bonds at various points in recent years? What is it about under-performance relative to stocks that is especially unsettling? Note that at least one of the PP assets will always be outperforming ...

So the extra cost associated with Total World might be offset by the convenience for a 'check once a year' investor?

I just use the TSM and TISM funds, since the expense ratio is lower than TW, as my VP.  Eventually, I'd like to get into real estate (not an REIT, but actual land/buildings).

Vanguard Total World stock index expense ratio is 0.19%.

Total US is 0.05%, and Total Int'l is 0.16%.

Is there some advantage to the Total World fund that I'm not seeing?

hoost, is there a website where I can link a cell in the gold portion to the gold spot price?  I had been using Colorado gold, and tried to link it to Kitco's site but messed something up.

Are you saying the premium to buy or sell isn't on...
