Re: Interactive Brokers USGOLD

2 things You do have to apply for and receive "metals" trading approval. Side note: Looks like the UK version of IB offers silver as well. Maybe this will come to the US? I've done this but have not traded yet. I don't recall anything about this asset/format(?) being a future. The fact that you wil...

Re: Interactive Brokers USGOLD

In poking around on IBKR"s site , it appears that to trade Forex (and thus trade USGOLD) one has to be an Eligible Contract Participant . I found this definition: (A) an eligible contract participant described in clause (i), (ii), (v), (vii), (viii), or (ix) of paragraph (18)(A) that, in connection...

That was just outstanding.

Re: Please meet Global Navigator and The Russell

I came up with this 1/3/6 and weightings in efforts of being quicker reacting than a 10 or 12 month lookback, without causing too much whipsaw. Well, it certainly seems to be doing fine for you. I am a fan of the approach that Randy has put together. It is some amazing work! I not one that favors b...

Re: PP Inspired Leveraged Portfolios

Honestly this is a bit hard to follow. Can you write down your strategy in the simplest and shortest way possible? Also, are you looking for advice or critique or neither? Are you open to discussion to actually figure out whether this is a smart thing to do, or is this something that is just for fu...

Is anyone looking at gold mining stocks right now? Supposedly out of favor, and value plays abound. ? Just checked, KL is still at 38. Did you buy it, JC? Yes I got it. Rode it to 57 and back down to $33. It is my side bet to collect a increasing 2% dividend with tax credit. My side bet is gold get...

Re: Bond scenarios

I will absolutely buy TLT if the band is hit. How close are you to a band? Is TLT about 20%? If you play like core inflation is 2% and headline is 3 1/2% I wonder where that puts TLT. Guess I need to try to answer my own Question: If the market needs 1.5% or so for a real return and 2% if the marke...

Looks like the combo got changed. From 40%/60% to 70% Russell and 30% USA. I like that a lot better. We have visited about the levered products and the possible counterparty credit risk. Also using EDV when things turn funny. Might warm to the combo. I will showcase different combinations over time...

Looks like you have stopped reporting Global/Russell 30/70%. It seemed to take some of the downside out and helped during times when the world is doing better than the U.S. Correct, I switched to reporting that combination to one of 40% The Russell and 60% USA S-M-L with the last update. I can't sh...

Buy the dip. However, I don't need the money for a few years, I have way too much cash already, and I'm full up with stocks, bonds, BITCOIN, miners, silver... so gold it is. Re: Please meet Global Navigator and The Russell

My numbers are IWS 20.00 and IWP 19.8625. They are very small to make a trade difference in my view. If I had a live trade in IWP I might not trade as the in and out will kill returns. Did a small position for IWS and VXUS. It was easy as I did not need to sell IWP which was up 4.7% on a paper trad...
