Re: Election Fraud and path forward
Evidence will not matter. In the end it will be like baseball... a pitch is just a pitch until it's called a ball or a strike by the umpire. It's not reviewable, and everyone just has to move on. If Biden is declared the winner, it only means that Biden is declared the winner. Not that fraud did no...

Re: CNN reports Trump's victory path - Shocking!
Let's not forget the whole sordid affair in the Ukraine involving Hunter Biden. I'm sure what we already have heard is only scratching the surface, since there's been no serious investigation as of yet. As I've said MANY times before, I fully acknowledge that Trump can be uncouth and unpolished. Bu...

Re: CNN reports Trump's victory path - Shocking!
Never mind I know Biden isn't perfect, but I'm pretty sure the whole freaking universe would hold him up as a better example of a human being than Trump. It will be interesting to see how the history books eventually score this one. Many people consider Biden's character flaws to have a far greater...

Also, there is nothing inherently wrong with blogspot.com. It’s just a hosting site for blogs. Good grief. Yes there is when someone is quoting a "blog" as if it is truth. Blogs are low-quality non-credible sources. Go try to list a political blog as a source on a paper in law school and ...

Re: The New Republican Populism (personal Trump references not allowed)
This thread seems to be missing something. A growing number of people have become dissatisfied with the status quo, specifically the inaction, poor decision-making, and misbehavior of the established ruling class regardless of party. Call them the establishment, the elites, the deep state, the swamp...

Re: Coronavirus General Discussion
This is a very interesting interview with Mike Yeadon, a former VP at Pfizer, regarding his thoughts about COVID-19 and the UK’s response to it. It has been removed by YouTube but it’s still available at Facebook... for now.

Re: Election meaningless unless we change for the better
Maybe we have opened pandora's box and can't go back. My point was that in the not so distant past charities and communities took care of each other without government programs. Where is evidence of this? Show me one point in time that the majority of the poor, sick, homeless, elderly, etc were tak...

Other recounts were done after the fact that showed Bush won so it all boils down to who you want to believe. What's not accounted for is what happened in the Panhandle when the news called Bush the winner before the polls closed. No way to know how many people heard that and decided they didn't ne...

Is there an issue with Mueller's findings? That guy seems like the most uptight keep it on the straight and narrow type of guy...he never breaks character. I'm astounded that you could even ask that question. For starters: Mueller's entire case was founded on the Steele dossier, which turned out to...

Re: Google Photos
Well I don't know, but I don't want to find out. Google has a history of having political opinions and trying to crush those it disagrees with, for example. Will I be blackmailed for something in my photo trove if I get too noisy about something Google doesn't like? It goes far beyond that. A photo...

But it's literally only Fox and the NY Post on the Republican side, and every other media outlet on the Democrat side. None of this media, from any source, is being forced down people's throats? If someone is paying for cable, they likely have Fox and CNN. I'll post this again: https://www.radiodir...

Has anyone else watched this? Quite an interesting insight into how we are being programmed by tech companies. For the libertarians here it might be an interesting challenge to think about how to big tech companies might be the most authoritarian danger we have to face. It's soft authoritarianism.....

Pfizer did not take government funds and was not part of Warp Speed. As usual, it's not that straightforward: Pfizer and BioNTech Announce an Agreement with U.S. Government for up to 600 Million Doses of mRNA-based Vaccine Candidate Against SARS-CoV-2 (July 22, 2020) They didn't take R&D money,...

Re: Toxic Media
The problem (or at least one of them) is that what we commonly refer to as “facts” are actually data + interpretation + persuasion. So an appeal to facts is inherently flawed and won’t solve anything.
It’s also why vague concepts like “follow the science” are essentially worthless.

We currently live in a different reality, sophie. I keep on hearing talk of building consensus and working across the aisle, for example, right now Pete Buttgieg on Fox News Sunday. LOL... do they think people are just going to forget the last 4+ years? Not all, of course not. But you may not like ...

As far as the fact checkers perhaps there should be some conglomeration of individuals selected somehow (I don't know the details) that reviews claims and puts out evaluations on that. How does one fact check them? I'm not sure...I'm trying to think of mechanisms... You're not thinking outside the ...

Re: Do You Really, Really Want to Know What Trump Did That Was So Bad?
As I recall, Trump launched a few missiles in Syria early on as a show of force, but then he just left it at that. He didn't try to use it as an excuse to broaden our footprint there. My point is that many of these so-called "emergencies" are likely manufactured excuses for the military-i...

Are polls actually helpful? Would we be better off without them? What if we evaluated each candidate on his merits rather than trying to base it on what everyone else thinks? What if pre-election coverage were about policies and speeches and philosophies rather than about a horse race? Same reason ...

https://i.imgur.com/CAVXjxv.png Gosh, this doesn't seem very "unifying" at all. It's known as a fine United States value. You have freedom and liberty. You had the choice to work for the Trump administration. Or, not. Future employers have the freedom and liberty to decide if they want as...

I don't hold grudges very long but I'm just so confused how people couldn't see how extremely flawed and borderline unstable Trump was...and why his lying, insulting, bullying etc was tolerated. No politician is perfect...I get it. One can find criticism of any leader...but Trump was in a league of...
