Re: Want to lose weight & treatment for diabetes
Which leads me to this question: These practices, both the salad and the vinegar/olive oil with bread, have been custom in Italy forever. Maybe back to the time of the Romans. So is it a case of ancient wisdom, where they *knew*. Or is it just a delicious happy accident? bread made with heirloom gr...

Re: Want to lose weight & treatment for diabetes
To use Jordan Peterson's language, WiseOne is at the top of the dominance hierarchy on this forum in regards to health knowledge. She's my go-to girl for this kind of stuff! O0 also searching keto, diet (or similar search term) in the forum will bring up a wealth of topics, believe it or not there ...

Re: Finding Stuff To Make You Angry?
it wouldn't be an investment forum if we didn't have to do a little accounting now and then... >:D But not the accounting most people think of when they hear that word. We aren't accounting for dollars and cents, but instead for political ideologies and satire levels. ;D you have been very successf...

Re: Finding Stuff To Make You Angry?
That's fine, I82, but I think it's asking a lot from the rest of us to be trying to figure out which 50% is the real person posting and which 50% is a sarcastic version. tomfoolery is pretty simple to parse out .if political it is satire (starting from the 2020/2021 cancel craze) .if investing rela...

Re: What is your prediction for the future of the forum?
the politics here mostly used to be economics - investing related.. now that everything is "political" every topic is degenerating into politics.. it is sad, and makes the forum less interesting but "this to shall pass" personally i am burnt out on politics, and the PP is still a...

Re: mathjak's daytrading adventures
Neither Mathjak or myself are disputing any of that. What each of us are saying that when you commit to something long-term implicitly each day you are deciding to invest all over again in the same assets as you possessed the day before. It's not advocating not adopting a long-term strategy. so how...

Re: Forum Members with COVID-19
That’s awful. Sorry to hear. I once heard about a guy who lost his sense of smell and taste through injury. He said Tabasco sauce was really a life saver. It really maximized whatever was left of his senses when eating and made it more enjoyable. i have a family member who lost their sense of taste...

Re: Sleep Paralysis
If we weren't paralyzed during REM, then we'd be physically doing all the things we dream we're doing. it keeps you from waking up with broken bones and bruising.. interesting how many have terrors associated with sleep paralysis, it was certainly uncomfortable and disconcerting when it happened to...

Re: Sleep Paralysis
Sleep paralysis is different from the atonia experienced by the body when sleeping, I believe. I used to suffer a lot from it during the wake up phase when I was a kid. I am saying 'suffer', as it's one of the most terrible things I've ever experienced. It's such a nasty feeling that I still recall...

Re: Search functionality not working ?
Here's another problem I have been experiencing periodically over the last few days and from different PCs: I usually access the forum from the "Unread Posts" page on the hamburger menu at the upper left. By clicking on the red circle to the left of the thread, it used to bring you to the...
