This was the reminder I needed to sign up for citi custom cash.
Now I will just need to downgrade my Amex to get rid of annual fee.

Re: Savebetter looks interesting
I think I first heard of save better from his channel as well. The ability to get competitive rates from different banks all in one account and also no penalty CDs does sound appealing. It seems like they can get better rates than an individual could due to volume but would be worth lower rate for t...

I used to say Linux would never be mainstream.
Then came Android and Chromebook. That is mostly all I use now.
I love the idea of being able to compile all your own software but it was never practical for me.

Corto I would also say .25% of yield is worth one more month duration for me.
Also my experience is a CD wouldn't be as liquid if you did want sell early. The spread on selling CD would eat into profits.

Re: Mask wearing / Returning shopping carts
I see, so your thought pattern is that some people actually believe that not returning a cart is better for society than returning it. I will have to examine this the next time I see it to see if I can find sympathy with their "good deed". I actually go one step further than just returning...

Re: Mask wearing / Returning shopping carts
The problem here is that some people think being forced to wear a mask is good for society and some people think it is bad for society. I assume most people would agree that returning a shopping cart is good for society but if there were tyrannical shopping cart nazis forcing me to push it a certain...

Re: 75% stocks and 25% gold
btw, How do you plan to transition from the PP to 65/35? Would you want to sell bonds now they have dropped so much in price? I didn't have any long bonds and plan to keep current cash allocations in place. My stock/gold ratio was already at 2:1 due to dabbling in golden butterfly portfolio. Really...

Speaking of Fidelity.
I just transferred funds from a savings account to take advantage of these juicy bills. It showed up in fidelity and exited savings account the next day but for some reason there was a hold for a week.
I was a bit surprised. Maybe just a fluke.

Yeah I hear he does say real estate instead of long bonds. Probably not a bad portfolio either.
At 42:45 Dan Ferris brings up Terry Coxon and Harry Browne though. It was cool to hear in something I wasn't expecting to hear about it in.

Re: Gold will rise when Fed stops raising interest rates?
I can sympathize with a 50/50 stock and cash portfolio as a chicken little investor. I have contemplated that exact holding in the past. I did give up on long term treasuries when I realized yields we're not worth the risk. Maybe someday they will look worth it again. I also hate gold but history is...

Re: Gold will rise when Fed stops raising interest rates?
Back on topic a bit more I found chart showing dxy vs gold price.
https://www.macrotrends.net/1335/dollar ... -ten-years
I guess good answer would be gold should go up when dxy goes back down as long as stocks are not what is going up. Sounds like a gyroscope.

Re: Gold will rise when Fed stops raising interest rates?
I have become a big believer in the belangp portfolio. It has allowed me to mostly autopilot my contributions with very little thought. Automatic company retirement plan gets about 33% into large cap index fund. Roth ira then is split 50/50 between gold and stock to add another 66 %. To keep it in b...
