Re: Coronavirus General Discussion
The official recommendation is that you're supposed to get the vaccine even if you've had COVID or evidence of past infection. No reason or scientific rationale given, so I can't explain why. What is your source for this? There have been bulletins distributed from my hospital and also NY DOH, but h...

Although not indicated for treatment, Ivermectin appears to be most efficacious in the treatment of Covid. Why have we not heard more about this?boglerdude wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 12:19 pm
But the conspiracy isnt grand enough such that there's been a cure since 1981 with Ivermectin

With all of the recent accusations and publicity of alleged police brutality in the news, it will be interesting to see if Danny tones down his demeanor with the perps. Maybe he will become kinder and gentler.

Re: How Does Anyone Take Liberal Ideology Seriously?
I think there are some serious demographic differences that cause some groups to be more susceptible to liberalism. Many people love to play the victim and liberal leaders tell their people all the time they are victims. Right on! Liberals love to be victims. Liberal leaders love to point out to th...
Re: Voter ID
Anyone against the idea that voters should have to prove identity and residency? I oppose this because illegal immigrants work really hard, do shitty jobs Americans don’t want to do (for $3 an hour), and should have a say in local government of the place they live. Also, Orangeman Bad and illegal i...

Re: Coronavirus General Discussion
I've got a question. We are 10 months into this pandemic and we are still arguing over the effectiveness of wearing a mask. There appears to be an issue of personal rights, efficacy of the mask, as well as the subject has obviously been politicized. Do we have any high quality studies on the efficac...

Re: Poll: What percentage of your gold is held in physical form?
For new money into gold, right now I'm not sure ETF's might make more sense considering the high markup over spot price that most dealers are charging for bullion. Lock in gains (or losses) with ETF's then convert to bullion when markups come down..............assuming they ever will.

Re: Biden’s Gun Plan
But I think before guns, women and physically weak men had pretty much no way to protect themselves from strong men wanting to do harm to them. Reminds me of the old quote "God made men, Same Colt made them equal". This reads quite transphobic. Since physical strength differences between ...

Biden’s Gun Plan
This is a follow up to a recent 2nd Amendment thread. Regardless of your opinion on the Right to Bear Arms issue, this should be a concerning issue. https://dailycaller.com/2020/11/24/joe-biden-gun-control-liability-protections-gun-manufacturers-bankrupt-commerce-in-arms/ Is it prudent to use a friv...

Re: Trump self pardon
I'd probably become a "Wackadoodle" if I had some bimbo running her mouth like that in my ear! Just watching the video reminded me of fingernails scratching on a chalkboard. How would you react to being in an airport and having someone, uninvited, following you around? Considering that he...

Re: Trump self pardon
How do you "pardon" someone who has not been formally accused or convicted of an actual crime? Throughout Trump's administration the MSM as continuously based their rhetoric on "what if" scenarios. Granted, Trump has done his best to give them ammunition, but how do folks get so ...

Re: What I Fear From Biden Presidency
Well............you are both right. I momentarily drifted away from reality. I guess the question that always goes through my mind about the people that show up on main stream media is "do they really believe all the leftists propaganda they pour out, or do they just think we are stupid enough ...

Re: What I Fear From Biden Presidency
If I were a leftist looking to make effective inroads into gun control, I believe I would spend more time learning about the guns I want to ban. Being able to quote statistics is one thing, being able to articulate which firearms are a priority to eliminate is another. It is incredible how many time...

Re: Ebola vs COVID-1984
We certainly have seen the "to wear" or "not to wear" a mask issue become very contentious during the last few months. It has made me wonder what would be the general public's reaction should we ever experience a pandemic of greater severity. Large-scale isolation and quarantine ...

Re: How to improve our voting system
Distrust of the election system is often a sign of a society in its final phase of life. I think the distrust is a symptom of larger problems and not actually the cause. Right now any election, no matter how perfect, would be distrusted by large amounts of people. Not to be overly dramatic, but it ...

How to improve our voting system
Based on what we have seen in the last two days it's obvious our voting system has got to be improved. What's the answer? There have been theories that only people who own property, pay rent on property, or being a net tax payer (tax payout greater than government benefits) should be allowed to vote...

Re: An Undiscussed Pandemic As Likely As COVID
Yet, liberals hate guns, they represent freedom, they represent independence, and as we've seen many liberal arguments go against people taking care of themselves, because it violates the social contract of taking care of everyone else. By eliminating the ability of folks to take care of themselves...
Re: I Bonds!
I have done that recently, cashing in some of the bonds with low fixed rates. Most of the others I'm holding are paying much higher rates than anything I can replace them with. Some in the 2.5% range. I'm going to talk with my CPA and see if there is any other solutions before selling the rest. All ...
Re: I Bonds!
Ah..........the good old days. ibonds $30K per year and tons of frequent flyer miles on the credit card. At times the fixed portion was over 2.5%. Maybe 3%. At my advanced age I'm facing some issues with my remaining Ibonds. At death they do not reset the cost basis to the heirs like equities. The h...
