Re: PP Inspired Momentum - A Comprehensive Approach

It looks like there may be a trade at the end of December based on the model. I'll update closer to December 31 if the signal indeed changes. Thanks for the update. Was wondering about a possible trade at the end of November, S&P takes new highs almost every other day. Will wait until the end o...

Thanks, IG, for sharing your strategy and continuous updates.

If one were to start following it, when would be adequate time to enter? At the beginning or end of a month? At the next shift or another event?

Re: Tactical Asset Allocation + HBPP an intriguing combo

I think we all have to be cognizant of the fact that as soon as something gets turned into an investable product it becomes a mechanism for bringing efficiency to that element of the market. It will be interesting to see how it works going forward. The longer I’m around this stuff the more I become...

Re: Tactical Asset Allocation + HBPP an intriguing combo

iShares has a set of lower volatility ETFs which could produce better GEM signals which are less "whippy" than using regular S&P 500 and ACWI ex-US ETFs. These are USMV and ACWV. Let's compare them to VOO and VEU. Unfortunately, the history is very limited, only spans 2013-2019. USMV/...

Re: Tactical Asset Allocation + HBPP an intriguing combo

Good to know about iShares. Schwab seems to be working hard GEM's rolling 12-month return is -5.47%. Not all strategies are created the same. My modified version of GEM has a rolling 12-month return of +11.4% (unlevered). Unless you are willing to share signals on a regular basis, it is hard to fol...

What do people here think of Buffett's investing style? He goes after long-term and has performed relatively well. Currently, he is after AMZN.

It's the same thing for the HBPP, or any disciplined investment strategy for that matter. If you're not prepared for a bad trade, don't ...
