That's pretty humble for BTC. From recent trough at $3200 to recent high at $58000 or so it was about 1800%
And $58k most likely not the limit. After reaching the max it will crash again loosing 70-80%.

If just for that purpose then it is OK. But in general rollover from IRA to 401k doesn't make sense. Usually ERs there are crazy.bitcoininthevp wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 12:45 pm Also you can roll your retirement account into a 401K that you form (w/lawyer, etc) and buy actual BTC and hold it if youd like as well.
Not an ETF but GBTC works pretty well in my IRA so far :-)whatchamacallit wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 10:03 pm Being able to buy bitcoin in a retirement account seems like a game changer more than the ETF itself. A lot more purchasing power in retirement accounts I would imagine.

But cashing out would be difficult.bitcoininthevp wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 12:00 pm Holding bitcoin can be impossible to detect in the physical world, etc.
I do not think so. At least yet :-)bitcoininthevp wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 2:20 pmBut regardless, do you think people are actually taking billions out of gold and putting it into bitcoin?
Good point. That should happen sometimes this year.
It did! But exactly the opposite :-)
You made your point three times already. Somehow that wasn't the part of the subject.... :-)Mark Leavy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 10:24 pm I'm not putting any money there, but I wouldn't say you are wrong.
Thank you for your reply. It is going to be in a brokerage. Not implementing that kind of VP through IRA/401k :-)
