Re: DHS: Easing of CoVid Restrictions Creates Opportunities for Violent Extremists
I saw an article about how NYC police are gearing up in expectation of a long, hot, violent summer. With the warmer weather this past week, the number of violent incidents popping up on my Citizen app has gotten quite alarming. Subway stabbings, murders, armed home break-ins, etc....at least 1 or 2...

Re: Post gold standard data
Is this an argument for UBI? Namely, that the funny money would get injected into the economy from the bottom up, rather than filtering down through the bankster intermediaries? There is an important principle, I can't recall the name of it, that says that those who get the first use of inflating mo...

Re: Post gold standard data
I have a purchase contract from 1940 for a new car, albeit a demo at the end of the year. The car was bought from the dealer for $375. Just think about that. My research says it would have listed for about $550-600 but would sell at some discount even before being a demo. I also have a pay stub from...

Re: Post gold standard data
I've heard/seen this being claimed for years in the libertarian/ Austrian econ/ hard money worlds. I don't have any reason to doubt the numbers. Inflation is an unseen tax on the poor and middle class. That's the beauty of it for the banksters.

Blue IL is 'reviewing' CDC guidelines and figuring out how to change guidance. Why? They should just say okay we're done, but they refuse. I think they are saying they will follow the national recommendations. They are saying it, but not doing it. What is there to review? If you are 'following the ...

Supposedly gold and silver miners, as murphy said. I'm only hearing it second hand but the case was convincing. Low P/E's, paying dividends, and they are known to be volatile stocks.

The Mideast is an inferno, wouldn't have happened under DJT. Inflation is soaring. Employment is bad. Taxes are going up. Hey everybody, let's stop wearing masks!!! From their PR point of view, it doesn't even matter if it's controversial. Just so it takes the other stuff off the headline. How so? ...

Sure, you could take any three year period and figure out which of the four assets had performed worst during that period, and if you take that asset out, the portfolio would have performed better. That's inevitable. I'm not sure what you're trying to say. The hard part is figuring out which asset ...

In Ontario, golfing is still prohibited. Even though the premier acknowledges that it's safe, he says well, the golfers will get together and drink, and we can't take that risk. Sucks to be a golf course owner up there, two summers in a row. Wow. Here in progressive Illinois, the courses are open to...

Cortopassi, Republicans taking out their own i.e. Cheney because she is not representing their views is not the same as Ds forcing their views on everyone else. I was once taught that you can lose money in your life and always get it back. But once you trade your principles, they're gone forever. I...

Wellesley is not as tax efficient as a two fund mix using an index fund for the stocks. I’ve deferred a ton of taxes over the past 12-15 years since I switched all our taxable stock allocation into vanguard index funds.
We do use Wellesley in an IRA. Love it there.

The PP isn’t for people who check the markets and their balances every day. Sometimes I go months without knowing what the DJIA is at. The PP has done about what I had hoped, over the long run. Maybe not yesterday (so I gather), but I couldn’t care less.

I grew up in a rural public school system. Haven't read Vanity Fair, never heard of it actually. so what's the troubling part of it?
Also, I think the best approach is to tell everyone that if a book makes them uncomfortable, they should sit that one out.

The fact that people have to take classes to try to understand it, argues against its success. If you think about the ...

Re: Reasons why I will not be getting injected for the Wuhan
I think I know how you're achieving this "don't know anybody" thing. You've tried it here multiple times: you ask whether anybody's sick, or knows anybody who's sick, find some reason to discount whatever answers you don't like, and then bingo the result is that nobody's sick! To be clear...
