Of course I don't need an adviser. I just had to ask it, OK?
@moda0306

Re: Crawling Road blog post - Permanent Portfolio Performance and Historical Returns
I don't remember the Sharpe ratio being on there, but this might help: http://mebfaber.com/2013/07/31/asset-allocation-strategies-2/ I very much like this graph. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. What can be concluded of it? Comparing CARG, Sharpe and Standard Deviation, is my assumption corr...

Crawling Road blog post - Permanent Portfolio Performance and Historical Returns
I guess I asked the same question before but it remains unanswered so here I go again: https://web.archive.org/web/20160324133409/http://www.crawlingroad.com/blog/2008/12/22/permanent-portfolio-historical-returns/ The question: if I recall correctly, some risk measures were featured in this post, li...

Re: Question:The Shockingly Simple Math Behind Early Retirement | Mr. Money Mustache
Referring to the chart: If your savings rate is 20%, then if your investment return is 15%/year it will take you 20 years to amass enough money to retire. At 6% return, it will take almost 40 years. Retirement is calculated as portfolio total x investment return rate >= spending rate pre-retireme...

Re: How does an investment company like Berkshire receives incentives from clients?
Unless you bought AAPL in an IPO (i.e. on a primary market), Apple doesn't see a dime of what you paid for their stock. When most people buy stock, they are buying in the secondary market. In the secondary market, I buy from you in hopes that the price will go up: I hope to reap some reward when ...

Re: How does an investment company like Berkshire receives incentives from clients?
OK. I understand why it is good for a 'real' company to buy a stock in them, such as Apple: they do research and development from my money, expand and sell more stuff. Easy. But how about a holding company? What is their benefit of me buying their stock? Let's assume here they only own stocks of oth...

Understanding brokerage fees or commissions (one way, round trip?)
Brokerages just say their fees are $5, $10 or just 1$ (for Interactive Brokers). However it is nowhere stated on any brokerage's site if said fee is one way, round trip (or you can never be sure) and when it is applied (buy or sell)? Ir is something I should know without a proper explanation? Strange.

This old classic book might only give you a starting point. Then you can find with a quick search on Google that many of today's successful traders can trace their methods back to Darvas.
Then your journey really starts.

Great find.
On this other notable forum (FlyerTalk) it is customary to do so called 'Congas' where each newcomer to the party signs up at the referral link of the last person in line.
Thank you for considering: https://www.robinhood.io/?ref=HWSj28
