Re: The GOLD scream room

If I had Budd’s purported portfolio you can be darn sure I would have investigated my investment approach thoroughly. Personally I’ve highlighted the major salient features of the PP three or four times, suggested he look at a portfolio with a lot more cash in it and not to look at component returns...

Re: Reinvesting ETF Dividends

I did an online chat with Schwab, and they said the time varies, but they 'try to get the best price', whatever that means. But since they are all Schwab proprietary ETFs and they are their own market makers, I find that hard to believe. This is pretty standard brokerage language and it means they ...

Re: European PP

If it is possible I would try to do some research on gold vs. the Euro/Pound/old DMark and see how they historically performed. If historical performance reasonably matches what gold is supposed to do in a US portfolio then go with gold. In the US, gold tends to also be negatively correlated with eq...

Agree Tyler. Man I really wish there was a smartly leveraged cheap ETF of the PP. I’d be all in on it.

No kidding, my gold holdings would weigh 655 lbs if silver. But that was before the boat accident. Pirate attack? Sometimes I wonder if things are set up just to serve as a “rally point”for political groups regardless of what the end result turns out to be. This event will serve that purpose for both sides. The tribal talking points have all been established and the believers will believe convinced of the right...

Fundamental long term projected return measures are actually quite good in their accuracy...just not in the timing. Seems like it is contradictory but it is not. Re: Small Caps

I apologize if this has been answered in a thread before, but since the PP is supposed to sort of be domestically oriented and most large cap companies are global in nature, would it make more sense for the stock portion to be geared towards mid and small cap stocks? Thanks in advance for any opini...

No, Moda, as I said before, I'm just not interested in engaging you. You've done this "Show me your sources" routine so many times that by now the script has become predictable. No matter what my source, you'll find some reason for rejecting it, and when confronted with evidence you canno...

McCain was a complex guy and like most humans who have lived he had his high points and low points. I don't think Trump has been too tough on the press. Honestly, whether the right or left press they are all pretty much non-credible with very little if any actual reporting done anymore. The modus operandi for all of them is fake rage, salacious headlines and a bunch of hired talking heads "re...
