just the opposite . gold has no idea what it is supposed to respond to and so far it has responded well to anything that eventually wasn't bettered by equity's at the end of the day . as i pointed out since 1975 a reinvested 1 month t-bill performed better than gold . the weight of gold is crippling...

Stocks down 3%.  PP down 0.45%.  And people take that as a reason to complain about the PP because it didn't go up.  That's a classic signal to take a break from thinking about investments for a little while. the problem we have is with the dollar so strong the country's having currency devaluation issues have to spend to much in their currency to want to buy it . to date it hasn't been the dollar with issues but the rest of the world . it makes other options much more viable to them as alternative place...
