Re: BTC in the PP

I now think of bitcoin as a company like Visa or PayPal that you can buy directly. Once the dust settles I don't see it being more valuable than the largest companies in the world based on the service it offers. If something else comes along that can provide the service better then it may be reduced...

SP500 ETF SPLG now .02 % ER

I have never used Tor but the comments made me interested in the question and I found a good explanation.

Re: Invesco CLTL renamed to TBLL

I decided I like the ETF method better myself. I am using SGOV in some accounts and what is now TBLL in others. Here are a couple of reasons for me. When I was buying small amounts of treasury bills on the secondary market I wasn't sure I was really getting a good price with the spreads and low volu...

Re: Does a Lowered Card Limit Hurt my Credit Score?

That makes sense to me.

Credit Karma does list the utilization rate as a top contributor to your credit score.

That response it had makes me wonder if it is plagiarizing that information. Something that may be needed for ChatGPT in the future is citations.

Re: What to do with a Low-Yielding 30-Year Bond

https://www.ishares.com/us/products/239468/ishares-us-treasury-bond-etf I chickened out on long bonds after holding a small time this year without losing anything thankfully and replaced them with the GOVT etf. It holds treasuries from 1 to 30 years based on market cap so it would hold more long bon...

I am not a member but I believe they are $1900 and oz.

I am not sure how this is possible unless Costco is somehow subsidizing the price.

I was looking forward to black mirror but didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. The last episode Demon 79 was definitely my favorite. I think I am just too hooked on From on MGM Plus. If you like black mirror paranormal stuff then I think you will love From. The first season is on Amazon prime and...

Re: Maximize your Social Security benefits by changing your thinking

I did like the article and how they explained it. The people that need to read it might feel insulted if you sent it to them. Unfortunately a lot of people are going to fall into this category below: I don’t have enough money saved otherwise to get me through to the later filing age. Not much to cou...

Vinny, I wonder if the denials may be related to your other thread about the money supply if banks are holding off on new loan accounts. I haven't tried applying to any credit cards in maybe a year now but I also did have trouble in the past getting approved for new cards when I was just trying to g...

I just learned of this fund while listening to this Wealthion video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r355gMJWoz4 I wasn't getting much out of the video until I heard her say the fund is currently in long term treasuries, short term treasuries and gold. After hearing that, I had to look into it more....

Re: iShares GOVT as bond holding

It is nice that you can get good results without using bonds at all. I was doing something close to that back when rates were so low I couldn't bring myself to buy the bonds. I figure you might as well just do 40 , 40 , 20 to make it symmetrical like the golden butterfly of course. Check out how low...

I sold my long term treasury funds today and plan to buy GOVT to replace them as soon as the cash is settled. I decided to stick with 4 x 25 but use GOVT instead of long term treasury funds. President Kennedy?

Ron Paul's discussion: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s filing papers to run for president yesterday has thrown a massive monkey wrench into the 2024 US Presidential campaign. Suddenly it looks like the seemingly-ailing President Biden will have a real challenger for the Democratic Party nomination. But how...
