Thanks for the refresher/reminder, jhogue! For some reason I thought the doubling occurred at 17 years ??? EDIT: It may be because they're pre-2005 . I bought my first EE bonds (and I bonds) around the year 2000 at my dad's suggestion. I was out of work for a while and the purchase was a substitute...
