Re: Is there a broad stock market index fund that doesn't pay dividends?

So is there a group consensus on specific funds that would be superior to VTI? And if so, superior in what way/for what reason?
Thank you

Re: PSA: I now have a 3-year period with no gains

Are you confusing the role of the PP w that of the VP? Why not keep money you can't lose in the PP and allocate that which is more discretionary to a VP? Because i am not a sheep of HB. Well whether you are a sheep, goat, or donkey, I have no idea... However, you seem to be a bit confused about som...

Re: What are your favorite online news sources?

Seems to me all main stream news sources are biased, leaning to some degree on various topics.  An insightful exercise is to note which organization one feels is not (or the least) biased.  The bias of that organization tends to match one's personal bias imho.

Investing in his Argentina project seems as advisable as investing in the d'Anconia Copper Mines.

Re: No where to hide

What economic state are we in? Prosperity?  Recession?  Inflation?  Deflation? deflation Ding, Ding, Ding, we have a winner imho. I think without the manipulation of markets through interest rates, this would be painfully obvious to all.  This central planning that adjusting interest rates to move ...

Re: PP for retirement in a comparative context

There was an edit, that was easily missed and rather relevant... "If you've been following this update for the past several years, you'll notice that the Harry Browne portfolio has fallen to the middle of the pack. A spreadsheet error greatly exaggerated the Harry Browne portfolio performance for th...

I think there is a good potential for a nice play in here some where for a VP.  I would be curious how this graph would look with the trend lines starting from the point just below the first red arrow?  It seems the more ...

Re: Forum Crash...

Timing of forum crashes is suspicious.  Anyone have a chart? This cracked me up! I am willing to donate my 0.02, don't go with any shared hosting. As mentioned above they are often oversold.  Even when not, if only one of the people sharing gets a significant increase in traffic your site will also...

Re: Student Loans as Bond Distribution

Just noticed this thread.  I'm gonna have to take the same position I do with paying down mortgage debt. 1) The REAL problem is people taking this debt on without properly calculating its benefit to them.  It either makes strategic sense to take on marginal debt for a marginal benefit, or it does n...

LMAO  For a moment I thought you were implying my posts were so irrational as to be influenced by drugs :)
Interesting progression, I like the idea of including a -1 for those not all here :)
