Re: Books?

My favorite non-fiction book of all time. Did you read it a while ago? If you thought it was good, you should try out some of the recent books that include the newer research! You are referring to the other ones on your list under "genetics"? Or, some others that you have not listed? Vinny Yup, all...

Re: Netflix junkie

YES! One of my absolute favourites of all time at this point!! The Michael Jackson bits were the best. ;D I thought the abortion part was the best. Mostly because he made my "notional abortion" idea funny. I remember talking with some guys at the gym about it, and one of them who just had a kid was...

Re: Omnniviolence (Nautilus magazine)

If you recall: Many years back I had considered writing a fiction novel and one of the assassination methods was going to be a swarm of drones with small explosive devices. It would basically be unstoppable with today's technology. I actually think the future of anti-personnel warfare is likely to h...

Re: Books?

One I just finished is Slow Apocalypse by Varley. Set in California amid earthquakes, wild fires, loss of electricity, it's a really good work of fiction, or as it's known in California, "holy fucking shit this is really happening aaaggghhh." Other good novels include the Three Body Problem trilogy ...

Re: Will Trump be Re-elected?

Regarding your last line? What else do we purchase where we do not know until AFTER the service is provided? Keeping us all in the dark seriously limits shopping around for the best value. Vinny First thing that came to mind are those bars, that I hate, that don't list the prices for their drinks.

Re: Question about PP vs 100% cash

I have a question for everyone. I have a friend who may be called a minimalist and has amassed quite a bit of savings over the years. And he has never invested a penny in stocks, gold, etfs or really anything but cash in the bank. He has an interesting point of view and has given me articles writte...

Re: Renewable electricity sources are now a no-brainer

https://www.ecowatch.com/tesla-solar-roof-2468676709.html?google_editors_picks=true Look at how good these look. That product is a joke. The cost is (ahem) through the roof! It would barely be competitive even if they cut the per-square-foot cost in half. They have a lot of work to do if they want ...
