Will Congress Keep Your Investments Safe? [probably not]

The Restoring Main Street Investor Confidence and Protection Act would define the value of a person’s brokerage account—their “net equity”?— as the value of the account based on the last statement from the brokerage house. That amount, up to $500,000, is what you could recover from the Securities I...

I don't understand your statement. I, too, am an atheist, but I clearly know the difference between right and wrong. Objectively or otherwise.

Re: Lots of really good court rulings

Perhaps the act of going to the capitalist-friendly 90% tax rates on higher income in the 1950's to the commie 40% tax rate on higher income today is the reason they're wanting to abort their children. I mean... I want to abort myself when I have to try to debate with that kind of logic... Can't. S...

Yep, but the muppets will still re-elect the majority of the people whom they claim to have no confidence in anyway.  :o

<picks up 30-pack of Natty Light, heads to Moda's house in MN, then turns South to PS's place to honor the swamp cooler> Uh oh. We are all over the place.  We should all meet in Chicago or somewhere central for a PP forum party... or brawl... whatever ensues... Now THAT would be humorous, would it ...

Re: Federal judge rules U.S. no-fly list violates Constitution

You guys know how when the government tells you to do something, and you refuse, they throw you in jail, and if you resist, they murder you? So when the government makes a demand on a citizen, the citizen either immediately complies or is locked in a cage like an animal or given a funeral. Well, wh...

Re: Selling human organs

Yeah, it really does.  It would make filling out a donor card a bit more motivating.  When I'm asked to now, it's usually at the DMV, and I'm always figuring they'll want to collect "early," before I'm done using the darn things. Can you possibly imagine a worse locale for the government to ask for...

Re: Selling human organs

I actually think it should be legal, but with some regulation, for all of the reasons previously cited here. But there are definitely reasons to have pause. What regulation pugchief? If you think there are good reasons for the government to prohibit the sale of organs, what do you think those are? ...

Re: Selling human organs

How about the scenario where someone decides to sell a kidney for the cash. But then, after he spends the cash, he develops a medical issue that is the result of losing a kidney. Who pays for his medical care? The government [more welfare!]? His insurance company [premiums go up to cover this new li...

Re: VA wastes $300m on solar panels while patients wait to be treated

I'm sure this is all very confusing to you and most Liberals because in fantasy Liberal land, people do things for the good of society because they are good people and want the world to be good and money is just this weird thing that greedy people use to marginalize others. And when people are unem...
