Re: DeBlasio caves to mob, starts defunding police

I'm starting to feel like I have some kind of magic powers or something. O_O I keep thinking about this quote above because I often have that feeling, too. I get what I wish for, and while it's not in an evil, twisted Monkey's Paw way, one should be careful what they wish for. Perhaps you should co...

Re: Banning Chokeholds

Anybody care to play a game of predicting the effect that banning the police from using chokeholds will have? Here's my prediction: it will lead to more police shootings of people of all races. Yep, just another example of progressive thinking that will hurt the exact people that it is supposed to ...

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us

Here is something to lift your spirits away from obsessing over police defunding, riots, Trump's latest tweet, Biden's latest slip of the tongue, fake news, BLM, climate change, muscle tone loss, lack of gold, or guns. Enjoy!

Our cat is very low maintenance. A bit on the skinny side, but otherwise healthy.

Re: Being supportive of rioters

Facebook post from Dr. Robert Gagnon regarding the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd: Everyone has a constitutional right to gather to protest (just as everyone has a constitutional right to gather for worship), even in a pandemic. But these protests have become counterproductive occasions for...

Re: Another angle on the recent events in America and the world

I think this might be somewhat related to this topic. How close or far do you live from any of the unrest of the last several days? Closest to me is Boston - 1.75 hours / 90 miles away. Where I live is quite rural, economically diverse neighborhood, houses with wide ranging values ($100,000 to $500...

Re: Another angle on the recent events in America and the world

Am I the only one here that thinks part of the reason the rioting has gotten so out of hand is bc of the Covid lockdown? I agree with Scott Adams that this has set the progress of Black back 10 years. But doesn't take much to make people snap under the conditions we've been under. I’m with you Pug....

ALSO. (And sorry for the rapid fire posts.)
I wonder how many times you can use a disposable coffee cup before you get "chemicals" leached into your drink though...
At least once per day until you die. ;)

Re: Coronavirus and bloodtype

Anyone have any further input into this? Apparently type A blood significantly more prone to complications than say the AB or type O? Doodle, no disrespect intended, but my first reaction when I read the post title was, I have red blood, I've never identified with the bluebloods. You may take that ...
