Re: All Things Permanent Health

Watson offers a cognitive computing approach to diagnosis, whereas CrowdMed harnesses the collective intelligence of actual humans. AI and machine learning-based systems like Watson cannot yet interact with patients or make sense of the type of medical case data that our human Medical Detectives ca...

Re: Trump's Effect on the PP

You know, if you had posted this recent study "proving" your assertions in your thread, we could have avoided this squabble:

Because this is significant new information.

Re: Trump's Effect on the PP

Your graph is selling ATM calls, not OTM, big difference. My bad. I was also thinking of naked not covered. However, do note that in your chart the maximum drawdown is MUCH, MUCH larger than the S&P 500. If the risk/reward is better then I say go for it, otherwise you're just getting a little bit e...

Re: Trump's Effect on the PP

It should lower volatility AND increase returns, we're not talking about writing ATM calls, there is enough upside room left. Nonsense. Selling volatility does NOT lower volatility in the long-run . You are making a anti-Black Swan bet. Moreover, a 10% allocation doesn't increase returns: http://s1...

Re: Trump's Effect on the PP

I made a topic about this but nobody seems to pick up on this. http://www.gyroscopicinvesting.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8723 There's just nothing to say. It does nothing for risk control and it breaks the risk parity. It's just a Prosperity enhancement like many other possibilities, except its ...

Re: Trump Wins - post-game discussion

This is starting to have all of the hallmarks of being like Reagan's revolutionary first year. He was attacked relentlessly by the lamestream media for years and years. Don't expect the liberals to acquisience to Trump's common sense.

Re: Trump Wins - post-game discussion

Excellent! He's walking the talk so far. If he was wanting to get even richer, he wouldn't be working for $1. Obama sure can't say that. An apparent victim of a purge of top level transition officials, O'Connor joins former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers and a bevy of other well c...

Re: Trump Wins - post-game discussion

So this is the long-winded way of saying that I think the benefits of globalization are highly questionable, to say the least. It's questionable for Westerners but not non-Westerners, that is for sure. We're basically subsidizing all non-Westerners so their living standards improve which smells lik...
