Re: PP YTD performance - was it the worst ever?
I’ve said it here a billion times. The ONLY thing that separates the PP from a traditional, passive portfolio is Gold. All others have some allocation to stocks, bonds and cash. Gold has proven once again its relationship to unexpected high inflation is putrid. PP followers hold Gold for this very “...

Re: PP YTD performance - was it the worst ever?
Do people still believe in this horse shit?
I would have a hard time explaining to anyone why I was still sitting in this awful portfolio.
Hopefully this year finally sinks this portfolio and the site forever.

Re: PP YTD performance - was it the worst ever?
If it's any consolation: https://portfolioslab.com/lazy-portfolios Makes me feel better until I look at the 10 year returns, where the PP is third to last :( There should be no surprise there if you did your homework before investing. Things "may" equalize if the bear stock market is bad ...

fucking idiots Gave me a laugh at least. What is your recommended portfolio allocation? No Gold or LTT’s. I can’t think of a worse portfolio to hold than this one for the last decade plus. All a bunch of garbage. It has proven its worthlessness time after time. If no gold or LTTs, what do you hold?...

Re: Gold will rise when Fed stops raising interest rates?
Gold is completely useless.
Unexpected inflation tops 8% and we are down 7% + inflation over the course of a year.
I really do pity those still invested in the PP.
What more do you need to see before you dump it?

Not sure what’s so funny.
A down day of 1% can cost me around 100K+.
It pays not to have taken the LTT losses.

Re: Banned
I don’t hold LTT’s so I have been spared the rout. If you go back a few threads you’ll see me write “soon people on this board will be touting the 25% cash position as the saving grace”. Also, cash has not done its job as it has under-performed inflation. Point is the PP has an achilles heal and ri...

Thanks for banning me Xan. Even more time to reflect how pathetic this portfolio is along with the crooks that sold it as the holy grail. Good riddance to all of you. Re: Stock scream room
I was ridiculed for years because I didn’t ascribe to the philosophy that one or more assets would buoy the portfolio in times of economic distress. We are now witnessing this distress first-hand and the PP has proven it does not have the ability to overcome an inflationary environment with rising i...

The model I use is doing slightly better then the pp and has totally different holdings although same equity levels but certainly not a lot of difference between them . If anything I think ...

Re: If The Stock Market Crashes Which Asset Will Save Us?
Why would you bother investing in a portfolio that fails during the most in-opportune time? Case in point, YTD stocks down 13%, LTT’s down 16%, Gold up 5% and Cash down whatever inflation is at the moment. Case 2, today, stocks down 3.5%, LTT’s down 1.35% and Gold down/flat as well.
