The next 30 days could be extremely dangerous. Among other concerns, the newly pardoned Michael Flynn has apparently been urging Trump to declare martial law and order the military to conduct a "redo" of the election in the states where he lost. https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/22/politics/dona...

Re: What’s up with Trump lately?
Huge numbers of former Trump loyalists and staff from 2016 have stated that Trump never expected to get the GOP nomination, much less win the presidency. His candidacy was 90% promotional stunt and 10% opportunity to bash some people he has always loathed like Obama. He never even appointed anyone t...

It looks like some people have had enough of the lies. Re: What’s up with Trump lately?
I’ve purposely not followed anything recently, but just looked at his Twitter and don’t see much of anything except the continuing election related comments. Is there any path still available to him that staunch believers are aware of? I ask seriously, not trying to tweak anyone. I just don't think...

Re: Facebook is a doomsday machine
Aside from a blog, I have never been on any form of social media. Facebook is something I have regarded from the moment I became aware of its existence, with deep suspicion. And that has long since evolved into a strong conviction that it is deeply sinister.

Re: Bitcoin - they coming for you
There have been multiple, and very credible reports, that Bitcoin has been used on a massive scale for money laundering by organized crime figures. And that there was a lot of price manipulation, again by gangsters, in BC's earlier big moves. I wouldn't touch BC even if I was playing with Donald Tru...

Why Russia Could be the Big Winner in the Climate Crisis
This is an excellent piece. I'm not sure why I never really thought about Russia in the context of climate change. I have typically looked at places like Maine, Oregon, Washington State, Alaska and of course Canada. In the latter half of the 13th century there was a short blast of global warming. Du...

Re: Bill Gross - “Gilligan’s Island” Fan?
Bill Gross was a smart guy when it came to investing, especially in bonds. But I have heard stories over the years that suggested that, like some other famous people, he had an abrasive personality. Not saying he was Steve Jobs kinda bad. But he was not always the easiest person to work with or for.

Television gameshow "What's My Line" from Sunday September 20, 1959. The guest panelist is Groucho Marx and he pretty much destroys the regulars and guests. I can't believe this got past the censors.
