Re: Not yet coming here? [to the Forum]
Ah. I’ve actually heard a few episodes of ‘Have Gun Will Travel’ on a cassette of old radio shows (already old shows when I was a kid). I don’t remember the ‘Case of’ part The name of the show was "Have Gun, Will Travel". I interpreted that to mean if he had his gun he'd travel. You may w...

Re: Should I complement my European Permanent Portfolio with a US or Global version?
Option 2: Permanent Portfolio Global ✅ Maximum diversification (geographic + currency) ✅ Broader exposure beyond US/Europe ⚠️ Hard to find global long-term bond ETFs that fit the classic PP idea ⚠️ Higher complexity and potentially more costly to rebalance Easy to do if you wish. Re: 3 Risks Of The Permanent Portfolio
While I cannot comment on the US PP performance, I am "very" pleased how the PP has done in Australia. If I just had the Vanguard conservative etf (VDCO) and not 25% Gold....well the chart says it all. Perhaps some other forum members from various countries could post their results? Nothin...

Well if nothing else, I am thankful Trump has inspired me to read Bastiat. ;D <snip> There is no country in the world where the law is kept more within its proper domain: the protection of every person's liberty and property. As a consequence of this, there appears to be no country in the world wher...

Re: ex-US stocks rising
I'm in the US, and I don't invest internationally because foreign investors are treated differently. However, if I lived in a country w/ a smaller stock market, I would probably invest internationally. Re: "U.S. Treasuries not the safe bet they once were"
Does anyone have any sage words of advice - are things going to get better for LTT? Keep DCA'ing and hang in there? Retool my PP? What? Well, HB said in his radio show that one asset class will always be performing poorly. But... it doesn't make it any easier to tolerate. A family member in our sel...

Re: Help Finding Least Bad 401k option
The rest of the plans options consist of plenty of good equity index funds, and a few target date funds. What my best options here? Right now I'm debating between the following options. 1. Keep the 50/50 equities/total bond fund portfolio with the non-treasuries since the credit quality is listed a...
